Lab Report: Department of Computer Science & Engineering

This lab report was submitted by Khalid Hasain for the course CSE 426 Microcontroller, Computer Peripherals and Interfacing Lab. The report describes 4 experiments conducted using Proteus simulation software and a microcontroller to control LEDs in various configurations using a DC power supply and push button. The theory section explains that Proteus allows simulating circuits containing microcontrollers by uploading hex code, unlike other software.

Course Title: Microcontroller, Computer Peripherals and Interfacing Lab

Theory: The Proteus is an electronic circuit design software which includes a schematic
capture, simulation and PCB (Printed Circuit Board) Layout modules.

Proteus is ahead in simulating the circuits containing the micro controllers where we can
simulate the circuit by uploading the hex code to the Micro-controller where as Multism can’t
do this.

Experiment-1: Turn on an LED with DC power supply

Experiment-2: Turn on three LEDs in a series with DC power

supply
Experiment-3: Turn on three LEDs in a parallel with DC power
supply

Experiment-4: Turn on/off three LEDs in a parallel with DC

power supply and a push button
