Qualifications:
● BE / BTech / MCA / MSc
● 6 or more years of experience in a web GIS software development environment with
relational databases (like PostgreSQL) (tables, unions, joins, complex queries, spatial
queries, triggers, stored procedures), NoSQL (like Cassandra, MongoDB), Apache Ignite
and Elasticsearch, and XML/SOAP/REST API/web services.

Responsibilities:
● Assist in development and maintenance of web GIS applications.
● Design databases, considering both back-end organisation of data and front-end
accessibility to end-users
● Prepare database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for
the data dictionary (metadata)
● Monitor performance and manage parameters in order to provide fast responses to front-
end users
● Develop, test and manage back-up and recovery plans
● Control access permissions & privileges, monitor user access & security, and maintain
data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act
● Perform any other related duties incidental to the work.
