 Abstract

The project is aimed at developing an application for the “WEB BASED

CANTEEN MANAGEMENT SYSTEM” of the college. The system is an application that can be accessed
and effectively used throughout the organization with proper verification enabled. This system can
be used as an application for the college to manage canteen to prevent the hustle. Students and
teachers should be able to order their food online. Our project provides the facility of ordering food
online and prevents time. It reduces the manual work and reduce the time. This project is
developed with PHP,HTML,JAVA for frontend and MY SQL for backend.

Chapter 1 : INTRODUCTION

1.1. INTRODUCTION

The purpose of the project “WEB BASED CANTEEN MANAGEMENT SYSTEM”, the manual work makes the
process slow and other problems such as waiting for food preparation, Rush during lunch time. In order to avoid
this web based canteen management system is proposed, where the student and staffs requirement is managed
efficiently. It intends to help fast in fast access with pre-ordering your food.. The key feature of this project is that
there is no need for registration; the data (i.e their ID Number, ) are directly verified from the college canteen
database. Our project gives access to all the student and staff visiting it, to view the food gallary and the
information related to it without having any login or verification. Our project provides the facility to Students and
Teachers to prevent their wastage of time.

1.2. MOTIVATION
 As per the need of the digitalization that India is currently heading towards. Digital orders can be
processed very easily as compared to the manual communication. Analysis of the trend in which the researchers
are interested, would help us in having a clear view where the technology is heading towards.

1.3. PROBLEM STATEMENT AND OBJECTIVES

Students choose a specific college where there is a better environment .In a collages there is a special
time limit for lunch. and during these time there is hustle because of rush. To prevent these rush and to get
food on time anyone from collage can easily pre-order their food From our website

3. After clicking on “order your food” button- It get us to food store page and where we can select
any dish and put our unique id number. And then click on purchase button then all requirements
will save in canteen database

Chapter 2 : Literature Survey

2.1 Survey of Existing System

 The existing system did not have any such feature which could describe the working model as that of the
proposed system. Existing system didn't have any methodology to order foods. But it provides better way of
saving time and rush regarding the food.

2.2 Limitation of Existing system or research gap

Existing System does not make payments. Because of security reasons we not applied any payment
process.

Chapter 3 : Proposed System

3.1 Introduction

“WEB BASED CANTEEN MANAGEMENT SYSTEM “PROVIDES US BEST PLATFORM IN COLLAGE TO PRE-
ORDER OUR FOOD. WITH THE HELP OF DATABSE WE CAN ALSO TRACK THE RECORDS OF ORDERS. AND IT IS
EASIAR TO MANAGE RECORDS.
