VIII. Rationale:

The Teacher Education Department of the Aklan State University –College of


Fisheries and Marine Sciences successfully emerged as the Champion during the
recently concluded Aklan Police Provincial Office KKDAT Sining Bayanihan Culture
and Arts Competition which was held virtually last June 3, 2021.

With this, the group will be representing the province of Aklan in the Regional
Level of the Kabataan Kontra Droga At Terorismo (KKDAT) Sining Bayanihan Culture
and Arts Competition and in order for them to prepare for the Short Film and
Interpretative Dance contests, the department has decided to house the selected
participants/ students here in New Washington for training and practice purposes.

Further, the New Washington Municipal Police Station through PMAJ


Josephine A. Jomocan, their Acting Chief of Police, pledged to extend their help by
transporting the participants who are coming from their respective houses to New
Washington by using the MPS’ mobile patrol car.

IX. Objectives:

The said activity will be for the easier access of the coaches to the students for
training, practice and audio –visual recording in preparation for the Regional
Level.

X. Methods/Approaches:

The 5 –day activity will be composed of the participants’ training, practice, audio
–visual recording and editing of the entries that will be sent to the Regional
office for judging.

XII. Expected Deliverables and Outcomes:

The facilitators of the activity would like to promote awareness especially among
the youth about the pressing issues in the community like that of terrorism and
drugs to lessen the cases in the community and for them to be able to contribute
and be of help to the uniformed personnel and the local government unit.
