ACTIVITY 1

I. Instructions: Identify what assumption of art being described in each item.

(10pts.)

1. Abstract Art. Art does not aim to accurately represent reality.

2.Art Appreciation. Art is based on an individual’s subjective experience of nature.

3.Emotional Infectiousness. A work of art cannot be separated from actual doing.

4.Picasso. At the end of the day, one fully gets acquainted with art if one

immerses himself into it.

5.Assumption. Art has been crafted by all people regardless of origin, time, and

place.

6.Natural. All arts are man-made.

7.Personal Perception. All of what we see around us is perceived in different but

acceptable ways.

8.Art as Experience. If one is to know art, he must know it not as a fact or information

but as experience.

9.Elements of Film. In order to know what an artwork is, we have to sense it, see it or

hear it.
10.Ethical Criticism. One cannot argue with another person’s evaluation of art
because

one’s experience can never be known by another.

II. Creation. Choose a scenic view within your immediate environment and

draw it in on a short bond paper. As the artist, you are free to put your own

embellishments that you think would communicate your intention more

effectively. Below the drawing, briefly describe your work.

Nowadays our Environment is very Cruel. This Work shows that even covid-19
pandemic disease is prevalent in our world today, we still need to fight until this
pandemic is over.
III. Reflection. Write your own definition and understanding about art.

Answer:

Art is a very broad thing that has existed in our world since ancient times. There's a lot
of artifacts that show art exists even in primitive times. For me, in my own words. The
definition of art is not just those pictures, paintings and sculptures that we see in the
museum. Using our imagination and senses we can do our own artwork. We don't need
to be good painters, sculptures, molders etc., To produce art. We can do different
artworks through the cooperation of our imagination, perseverance and knowledge to
those art you wanted to do. For example, you design your bedroom, you add some
decorations and curtain to the wall and window to achieve a beautiful and relaxing view.
in that very simple way, you do your own artwork.

IV. Instructions: Answer the question below:

“If you were an artist, what kind of artist would you be?” Explain your answer by
providing

reasons as to what form of expression through art would best manifest your creativity,

imagination, and expression. You may narrate personal examples when necessary.

Answer:

If I were an artist, I would deliver my art through music. Expressing my feelings through
the lovely sounds of my guitar reflects the emotions hiding my heart. I want to convey
my music to those people who are going through loneliness in life. Playing
heartwarming sounds directly to the heart of my listeners is the goal of my art. I arrange
beautiful chord progression and clear notes in my guitar to get a pleasant tone to our
ears. For example, there was a friend of mine experiencing anxiety or encountering a
bad day, I played my chords arrangement to boost her/his feelings. I promise that my
Art in Music’s Will give happiness to those people who need a little bit of melody in their
hearts. Playing instruments is also an art, if you know how to play any kind of
instruments, enhance that talent, you do your own passion and at the same time you do
your own art.
V. How can you utilize the arts to express yourself, your community, and your
relation

to others?

Answer:

I can utilize the arts to express myself, our community, and relationship to others
through giving my feeling and desire in the art I made or I want to make. Devoting full
perseverance and willingness to finish an artwork will help you to achieve excellent
output that can gain credits to those persons who viewed your art. Using your creative
imagination, you can express the message and the voice of your art. For example, you
post your art in a public place, you display a Poster that aims at the wide spreading of
covid-19 virus. Those people who view your work will remind us that at this time we still
need to follow the health protocol of our government for our safety. In other words, if you
add meaningful massage in your art, the person in your community will recognize and
understand the main point of your art. The way of thinking of a person can possibly be
affected when they see your art.
