1.Who sponsored the Rizal Bill in Congress? What are their arguments in support of the bill?

The Sponsor of Rizall bill is Senator Claro M. Recto. The church continued to oppose the bill
mandating the reading of rizals novel noli me tangere and elfilibusterismo claiming it would
violate freedom and religion.

2. What are the arguments of the opposition of the bill? Catholic Church due to the inclusion of
compulsory reading of Rizal's novels in which according to them, catholic dogmas are
humiliated.

3.Are the issues on the R.A. 1425 still relevant on the present conditions of the Philippines?
Yes, because some of the issues are still problem here in the Philippines. Like some problem on
chalotic church. The human Rights of filipino people.

Yes. Because some of millennials still reading and studying to book of rizal. Works of rizal still
