I need to improve my time on study as I am lacking the time that is needed for my
assignments and quizzes. I have to spend less time on playing pc games as well as on personal
tasks. I can do that by prioritizing my tasks. I have to organize my tasks in a way that I will be
able to know which activity needs more attention. I have to arrange a schedule to spend more
time on my academics by have quick priorities of my study assignments as well as projects. I can
also reduce my family time a bit and focus more on important tasks at hand.
Task 2: Portfolio
Maintain a portfolio of all the assessments that you have done in your GSS classes like (Learning
styles, Multiple Intelligence Theory, Time management, Procrastination, Note taking, In-text
citation, References etc.) and discuss minimum three activities in around 50 words each that how
these assessments are going to help in your Academic life.
Answer
1. Multiple Intelligence Theory
Multiple intelligence theory will help in my Academic life by better understanding my abilities,
in this way I will be able to utilize my abilities with utmost potential. It will also help in building
my confidence as this theory explains in details about how an individual can uses its strengths to
identify their weakness. It will also motivate me to specifically find out the activity that interests
me and I will be able to find my strengths that will be able to push my abilities further.

that I have done in my classes will help me to complete more in less time as I will not be wasting
time on different distractions such as social media and internet. I will also won’t miss any of my
academic deadlines because I will have more time, in general I will also be able to do their
activities that I haven’t been able to do such as working out. It will also make me stress free as I
will be able to enjoy my time by having more flexibility and spontaneity.

Note will help in my Academic life to a great degree, I will be able to improve my focus as well
as my attention to detail. It will also promote my active learning as while I am taking notes I am
involved in continuous learning that will result in increasing my overall productivity. The major
benefit that I will get after note taking is increasing in memory retention as I will be continuously
learning. It will also increases my prioritizing skills as I will be able to prioritize important tasks
more easily and effectively.

Task 3: eBook
From GSS eBook chapter Five “Reading and Remembering” refer paragraphs on page 111
“Read for Retention, Not Speed” The total words in these paragraphs are around 180. After
going through the paragraphs draft a summary in your own words
Answer:
Coming across speed reading advertisements is a common thing, but these claims are groundless.
If we were to read that fast, our comprehension will suffer. Reading is designed to increase our
knowledge & understanding levels to help in thinking more broadly. In order to be more
effective in reading, understanding is important rather than speed (Feldman, 2020).
