The lesson plan aims to teach 8th grade students about Edinburgh using the Snapshot textbook over 50 minutes. Students will practice using clauses and linkers of contrast like although, however, in spite of, and despite through worksheet exercises. They will complete sentences using these words, read passages and fill in blanks with given phrases. Homework involves another contrast exercise. Evaluation will check if students met the objectives of using contrast language and structures.

Assumed knowledge: The students know different clauses and linkers of contrast.

Materials: Snapshot, Longman, chalk , worksheets, notebooks, blackboard etc.
