the 300-word

Copywriting
cheatsheet
PRESENTED BY CHARLIE PRICE
The Cheatsheet!

Hi there!

So, as promised, (I almost cried creating this) - here's the 300-word

copywriting cheatsheet!

Squeezing all the best copywriting content into 300 words ain't easy

It’s like trying to pick your favourite meme

It’s an impossible task

But I pushed through,

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a first timer, it's a nice little guide.

Here goes!

Do you want Vin Clancy and Charlie Price to mentor you for all of
2018? We're opening up a few places for people who want to
massively grow their business this year.

1) Before you start writing

Get really clear on your audience

And get really clear on the product they want first
Then create an IRRESISSTABLE offer for them

2) Read These 3 Books

- Scientific Advertising
- Tested Advertising Methods
- Anything by Dan Kennedy (No B.S Direct Marketing)

3) Techniques

Learn these 6 Elements of Persuasion

Reciprocity – People give back to those who help them

So give value first.

Consistency – People are more easily persuaded after committing to

something small
Start with a smaller product, then upsell

Social Proof - people follow trends, so create hype

Add testimonials, and mention current results/number of people buying

Liking – People are more easily persuaded by those they like

Don’t be a dick, be nice, funny and human

Authority – People listen to and trust authorities
Demonstrate authority, mention/demonstrate credentials

Scarcity – People want what they can’t have/exclusive products/services

Always add scarcity by:

Limiting time (for 7 days only)
Or
Limiting Quantity (for the first 10 people only)

Extras:

Specificity
Being specific makes your offer much more interesting AND believable if
you get your audience right.

Headlines
Your headline can be the difference between $10k revenue and $1k
revenue. Get your headline right so your audience reads the rest of your
copy.

Write 20 headlines for every sales page and blog post you write. (write
3-5 headlines for fb posts) and pick the best.

Test small
Don’t spend thousands in paid ads until you prove conversions,
especially if you’ve never made revenue.

4) Writing Hacks

Write the first thing that comes to your head, don’t write start-to-finish

Other people in the industry have proven what sells, look at their stuff

Ask “So-what” to every line of copy, delete waste, add context to main
points

Hustle > Sleep > Coffee > Edit.

And that's it, 299 words of pure copywriting gold

I hope this helps you out

Let me know your feedback, just reply to this email and I'll get it straight
