Revision Plan for the IBA Test (2021) – Math Section

1. Revise Math Topic Wise


i. Review the lectures of each topic in detail
ii. Review relevant chapters of each topic from Anees Hussain’s Math Workbooks
1 & 2. (To save time, you may only review the questions which you had
problems with instead of reviewing all problems)
iii. Review 2 to 3 topics each day depending upon the difficulty level and depth of
each chapter.
iv. Make a chapter wise study plan and make sure you stick to it!

Number of Days to be spent on this: 12 to 14 Days

2. Extra Math Practice Topic Wise – From SAT Material (OPTIONAL – depending on time)
i. Practise Topic Wise Chapters from any good SAT resource book. You may use
Anees Hussain’s SAT Workbook 1, Barron’s SAT Workbook or Khan Academy.
Make sure that the resource that you use has answers and explanations of
questions.
ii. Practise 4 to 5 chapters every day.

Number of Days to be spent on this: 4 to 5 Days

3. CBM Past Papers


i. Attempt atleast 4 past papers starting with the most recent ones.
ii. Attempt the papers with timing, score yourself, and most importantly,
thoroughly review your mistakes.

Number of Days to be spent on this: 2 Days

4. IBA Past Papers


i. Attempt atleast 10 to 12 past papers starting with the most recent ones (2021
Round 1) and going backwards.
ii. Attempt the papers with timing, score yourself, and most importantly,
thoroughly review your mistakes.
iii. Ideally attempt all past papers from 2014 to 2021.
iv. Attempt 1 to 2 papers per day

5. CollegeBoard SAT Full Length Tests


i. Attempt atleast 4 to 6 CollegeBoard Full Length Tests.
ii. Attempt the papers with timing, score yourself, and most importantly,
thoroughly review your mistakes.
iii. Attempt 1 to 2 papers per day

Number of Days to be spent on this: 4 Days

6. Extra Math Practice for Problem Solving (OPTIONAL)


i. Attempt practice questions for Problem Solving. Make sure the questions are
mixed and are not Topic Wise. You may use the following resources for this
Extra Practise:
1. Anees Hussain’s Problem Solving Exercises 1 to 20
2. SAT Math questions from MajorTests website

Number of Days to be spent on this: 2 Days

7. Final Revision
i. Revise all Tables, Squares, Cubes, and Fraction to Decimal to Percentage
Conversions.
ii. Unitary Conversions
iii. Revise all Formulas.

Number of Days to be spent on this: 2 Days

Notes:

 Items 1, 2, 6, and 7 deal with Math Only. So on these days, you will need a concurrent
plan for the Verbal Section also. 5 to 6 hours per day for Math and 5 to 6 hours per day
for Verbal.
 Items 3, 4, and 5 deal with Math & Verbal. So on these days you will spend 10 to 12
hours per day.
 Items marked as OPTIONAL are recommended if you can manage time. All other items
are COMPULSORY.
 Please make sure you dedicate the next 35 days to rigorous IBA Preparation!!
