2. Job Set−Up Information

3. Job Set−Up
WARNING: PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES, THE WARNING SIGNS, AND
THE WARNING PLACARDS IN POSITION BEFORE YOU
START A PROCEDURE ON OR NEAR:
− FLIGHT CONTROLS
− FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
− COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
MAKE SURE THAT THERE ARE NO PERSONS OR
EQUIPMENT ON OR NEAR THE FLIGHT CONTROL
SURFACES. ACCIDENTAL MOVEMENT OF THE FLIGHT
CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS
AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
A. Install the applicable warning signs and placards on the
handwheels and aileron control surfaces to give warnings
against movement of the control wheels or ailerons.
B. Open the main avionics−compartment door 811.
C. Connect the external AC power (Ref. TASK
12−00−07−861−801).
D. Make sure that the circuit breakers that follow are closed:

4. Procedure
Refer to Figure 1 and Figure 2.
**ON A/C 7041 Post SB601R−27−116 and ON A/C 7003−7031, 7033−7040,
7042−7058, 7060, 7062, 7064−7067, 7069−7093, 7095−7102, 7104−7109,
7111−7114, 7116−7124, 7126−7132, 7134−7141, 7143−7147, 7149−7153,
7155−7165, 7168−7169, 7171−7204, 7206−7247, 7249−7271, 7273−7364,
7366−7370, 7372−7383, 7385−7389 (Post SB601R−27−116 and Pre
SB601R−31−022)
A. Do the operational test of the skew detection system (IBIT) as
follows:
(1) Do the operational test of the flaps (Ref. TASK
27−54−00−710−801).
(2) On the EICAS primary page (ED 1), make sure the caution
message FLAPS FAIL is not shown.
(3) On the EICAS control panel, push the STAT button to set
the status page on the EICAS secondary display (ED 2).
(4) Make sure the status message FLAPS HALFSPEED is not
shown.
(5) On the SDU, make sure that all LEDs are off.
(6) On the SDU, push the BIT TEST button for two second.
(7) Make sure the SDU BIT PASSED light and the FECU 1
and FECU 2 LEDs are shown.
(8) On the SDU, push the BIT RESET and BIT TEST buttons
at the same time for two seconds to reset the SDU.
(9) On the SDU, make sure that all LEDs goes off.
(10) On the EICAS primary page (ED 1), make sure the caution
message FLAPS FAIL is not shown.
(11) On the EICAS control panel, push the STAT button to set
the status page on the EICAS secondary display (ED 2).

shown.

8010 Post SB601R−27−116 and ON A/C 7003−7040, 7042−7067,
7069−7389 (Post SB601R−27−116 and Post SB601R−31−022)
B. Do the operational test of the skew detection system (IBIT) as
follows:
(1) Do the operational test of the flaps (Ref. TASK
27−54−00−710−801).
(2) On the EICAS primary page (ED 1), make sure the caution

(3) On the EICAS control panel, push the STAT button to set
the status page on the EICAS secondary display (ED 2).
