Deon: A very good evening to each and every one. Welcome to…

BOTH: Chalise Jane's Debut Party.

Jean: We would like to thank everyone for gracing this very momentous occasion because as they say, you
only get to be 18 once.

Deon: Indeed. This is an important event in her life because just like what Wendy said in the movie Peter
Pan, no more fairy tale stories every night. She is now a real lady as she stepped onto the much higher
level of what we call life.

FIRST GRAND ENTRANCE OF THE DEBUTANTE

Jean: Tonight, the Noynay Family takes pride in formally introducing their beautiful daughter. Once a
baby, now a very fine lady.

Deon: And now, without any further delay… ladies and gentlemen, let us all rise as we welcome the
loveliest lady of the night, our debutante … Let’s give a big round of applause to,

Deon: Once again, tonight’s most beautiful woman, Chalise Jane Noynay.

Deon: To answer our intriguing question as well as to deliver the opening remarks, let’s give it up for our
debutant’s mom, none other than, Engineer Iryn Noynay.

Deon: Thank you Mommy Iryn for warmfully opening tonight’s special ocassion.

Jean: To give us a special message and to give his comment on “assdfghjkl”, let’s give our attention to our
debutant’s father, Engineer Jonie E. Noynay.

Deon: Thank you so much Engr. Jonnie E. Noynay for that inspiring special message.

Jean: Yes. This very moment, let us proceed to the highlights of tonight’s program or should we call it
rituals of turning 18.

Deon: Right away. Because birthdays are always new beginnings, new endeavors with new set of goals,
sending birthday messages and wishes is a tradition especially in our country, where we give high value
to family ties and relationship.

Jean: Absolutely. They say, “Where there is great love, there are always wishes.” Esteemed guests, I
present to you the 18 wishers for our debutant. These are the people close to the heart of our celebrant,
and whom she listens and confides to for inspiring words and friendly advices. Starting off with

Deon: Saving the best for the last, the woman dearest to Jane’s heart, representing the mother candle that
will ever be a never-failing source of light for our dear Jane’s life journey, here’s Mommy Iryn Noynay!

Jean: Many ancient cultures believed that smoke carried their prayers to the heavens. So, at the count of
three, Mommy Iryn and members of the 18 Wishes, let’s say “May all our wishes come true” and blow our
candles together. 1, 2, and 3…

18 ROSES
Deon: Like a flower that blooms and exudes its sweet scents to attract bees and butterflies, this time, the
debutant will be swarmed by 18 equally gentlemen. These 18 gentlemen will offer her roses that
symbolize love. Love which Chalise Jane has for her family and all the people in her life. Let us start with

Jean: The last dance is of course reserved to the forever most handsome and most loving guy in her life.

Jean: (In the middle of the father and daughter dance) The father and daughter dance is probably one of
the most loved traditions in any Filipino debut celebration. This signifies the daughter’s first step to
womanhood and the father’s acceptance of this period in his daughter’s life.

At this moment, are we ready to move and groove? I can’t here you, are we ready to move and groove?
Ladies and gentlemen, here’s a dance number from our debutant herself! Let’s put our hands together for
our Jane and her little sister Einnie Jin!

[Ad Lib to be led by us] And to complete the customary practice, let us all sing joyfully a song I am very
sure everybody is familiar with, the happy birthday song!

As the saying goes, it is not only the spirit that must be fed but also the bodies. Before we share the
sumptuous dinner prepared for us of our gracious host, I am requesting Sir Joseph Mallao to lead the
prayer for our food.
