will be lots of fun. We’re going to cook
hamburgers and sausages and my mother is
going to make a big salad. After the

of his old songs too! I’m sure everyone will

I suppose you will come by train, so here are

our house. You can miss it!!!
The party is going to start at 7:00 pm. Faye

Happy holidays
Hi Martha
I do hope that things are well with you and your family.
We're still ok. We had a very quiet Christmas like everyone else here in Europe as
there are strict lockdowns here. Next year when things are hopefully safer we
will meet up with our family. It is too risky at the moment as there are many cases
of the virus here and two new variants which spread very quickly.
And Brexit will become reality on 1st January. It makes me so sad! Every time I see
the Prime Minister Boris Johnson I feel depressed!
Anyway, take good care, Martha, and enjoy the rest of the Christmas break. Let's hope
that 2021 is a better year all round.
Lots of love

Structure and Written Expression
The aspects of English that are tested in the structure and written expression section must
be understood within a large context. To prepare for the Structure and Written Expression
section, it is necessary to go beyond a mere understanding of grammar rules. In order to improve
both your test scores and your skills in English, you should practice using these structures
and rules in active
communication.
This section is designed to measure your ability to recognize language that is appropriate for
standard written English. The Structure and Written Expression section contains 40 questions and takes
25 minutes to complete. There are two types of questions in this section, with special directions for
each type.
Structure Questions
The questions on this section are designed to test your ability to construct complete and
grammatically correct sentences. In this section, you will be given sentences from a variety of
academic or reference sources. Each sentence has a blank. The blank indicates where a part of the
sentence is missing. You are given four answer choices. Each choice consists of one or more words. You
must identify the one choice that could be put into the blank to complete the sentence correctly.
To prepare for the Structure section it is necessary to go beyond a mere understanding of grammar
rules in order to improve both your test scores and your skills in English, you should practice using
these structures and rules in active communication.
