Assignment Fe2 Binder
Assignment Fe2 Binder
Binder
The digital field experience binder, not only supports your organization as a teacher candidate
and future educator, but it also documents your growth and learning throughout the
practicum. The digital nature of the binder allows for your Foundations Instructor / University
Liaison to access your binder at any time during the semester and practicum to further
support your growth.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
Upon successful completion of this assignment, students will:
1. Describe the interactive web of good planning, student engagement and proactive
classroom management.
2. Make connections between the Ontario curriculum documents and opportunities for
differentiated teaching and learning.
3. Develop a stronger sense of self as learner and teacher.
4. Demonstrate skills in a wide variety of assessment strategies that support student
success.
5. Describe and implement practical tools for effective communication with colleagues,
parents and stakeholders in the school community.
6. Explore the role of extracurricular involvement in developing relationships with
students and good classroom management.
7. Describe and implement practical tools for resolving conflicts and real world classroom
management scenarios.
8. Use digital technology effectively to engage students and assess multi-modal ways of
knowing.
9. Demonstrate the curiosity and aptitude of a life-long digital learner.
DUE DATES:
Week 5 – During Foundations II, in the small group session you will do a self-assessment of
your FE II Binder, using the rubric provided. You will upload your self-assessment to the DLP.
You are also required to upload your Interim Report to the FE Binder as soon as it is received
from your Associate Teacher.
Keeping the binder empty and disorganized up until the last possible day for assessment is
unacceptable, as the goal is to document your learning throughout the Field Experience
block. This means that lack of organization up until the final possible assessment date will be
reflected in the final grade.
The final date for your Foundations Instructor / University Liaison to assess your digital binder
is Monday, May 31, 2021 by 23:59, however, you are still expected to maintain your binder
even after the assessment as it reflects your commitment to your professional practice.
DESCRIPTION OF ASSIGNMENT
All Teacher Candidates must keep an up-to-date Field Experience (FE) Binder in digital form.
The Digital FE Binder is comprised of a series of shared folders on the UOIT.net Google Drive,
to be shared with your Foundations Instructor/University Liaison to access anytime while you
are in the Field Experience.
A shell of the Digital FE Binder can be accessed via the URL below (also on Canvas):
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1WnINJ0J6hrvilyr7gOkgOmBatX7hKA58?usp=sharing
Once you go to the URL of the Digital FE Binder shell, you must download the shell to your
own UOIT.NET Google Drive and personalize as necessary. Once you download the shell to
your own UOIT.NET Drive, you will then be able to add your lesson plans, observations,
schedules etc. Once your Digital FE Binder is set up on your own UOIT.NET drive, you will then
share the entire binder with your Foundations Instructor/University Liaison.
Here is a video to give you a general idea of the process of downloading and uploading if you
are not familiar with Google Drive.
