Technology makes modern life much more comfortable than in the past.
During my grandparents’ time, life was hard because work was done without any
modern tool: they washed their laundry by hand, walked from one place to
another by feet. Furthermore, there were limited entertainment choices in the
past. They could just listen to the radio or perhaps watch a black-and-white movie
for pleasure. Today, the way of living becomes easier thanks to technological
developments. We wash our clothes with washing machine, use buses for
transportation, and cars to move around. We also enjoy home theater systems,
DVDs, and video games.
Technology has definitely improved our life. In addition, people today have
more leisure time than they did before. Since my grandparents were farmers, they
worked in the rice field all day long even without resting on weekends. In contrast,
many people today simply work from nine to five on weekdays and take weekends
off. My parents as an example do have much free time than my grandparents did.
They go to the movies, go to the gym, or take trips.
In conclusion, nowadays people have more comfortable and easier lives than in the
past. This is due to technological developments. These factors will make our life
