ACCURACY: Accuracy is very important on a show like BBC News or even

Piers Morgan as they need their information to be as truthful as possible
as to not come across as biased, but rather completely neutral as to not
cause any political tension or spread any misinformation whereas on the
likes of Russel Howard, accuracy is not as important as current affairs
and politics are used as a setup for a joke rather than presented as
information.

BIAS: Bias is exremely important to not be included in a news

programme such as BBC News as it is one of the main sources of current
information for the masses which means that there is no room for
opinion, whereas bias would not be as important on say The Last Leg or
Mock The Week as the main pull of these shows is to hear the
comedians make fun of certain politics and ideologies, meaning the
more bias the better.

PRIVACY: It is extremely important that the news such as BBC, RTE,

Channel 5, etc. are as openly available to the public as possible as they
hold very important value for the viewer, no matter what county or
country they are in as it would be considered as world news, as opposed
to the likes of Love Your Garden or Celebrity Juice which are used more
for a means of entertainment and therefore can be privatised as not
every citizen needs their content.
