Question 1
There is usually a positive side and a negative side to each new technological improvement. Select a
technology you use every day and consider its benefits and risks. What benefits does the technology
provide? Are there any risks involved and, if so, how can they be minimized? If you chose not to use this
technology because of the possible risks associated with it, how would your life be affected? Who should
determine if the benefits of a new technology outweigh the potential risks? Consumers? The government?

Internet
Internet became a part of life of each person living in our society nowadays. Internet makes our easier and
something we fall in trouble just because of its misuse. So everything which we are using have its
advantages and disadvantages too.

Advantages of Internet

There are so many advantages of internet which are us under:

 Knowledge and Research: By the help of Internet students can do research of their projects and
presentation. They can get knowledge and stuff about their subjects.
 Billing and Banking: Nowadays, no one worries about utilities bills due dates because it becomes
very easy and there is no need to go and pay the bill just in few minutes we can easily pay online
bills with the help of internet.
 Communication and Sharing: Now, it’s very easy to communicate with our family members and
to especially those who are out of city or foreign countries because we can communicate with
them with the help of internet and we can also share everything what we want to share like
photos.
 Entertainment: We can entertain with the help of internet like we can watch movies and play
games on the internet.
 Business: Some people are using internet for online business to make successful business and
make their career successful.

Disadvantages of Internet
There are some disadvantages too according to our use:

 Addiction and Time Wastage: Some people became addicted to internet and they are wasting
their precious time for it including students too. All the time they are just using social media
on the internet.
 Hackers and Cybercrime: Some people are misusing internet and they are hacking other
people’s data and blackmail people.
 Health Issues and Problems: Eyesight issue is most of the familiar issue in our society
children are getting glasses just because of extra use of internet. They are not playing
physical games.

Internet is most important technology in our life. If we were not using internet or we don’t have internet
facility so we will not able to get updates about our environment and we will not able to study properly
because everyone knows about current situation due to COVID-19 so everyone is internet for work from
home. And banks will not be able to advance because with the help of internet we are able to do online
banking and transactions. And it’s right that everything which having so many advantages has it’s
disadvantages too. But we have to make sure that we have to use this technology in right way and for
right purpose. We have to unite and minimize the misuse of internet and government should also take
actions for this because it’s very important to make sure that the technology we have should be used in
right purpose.

Question 2

The ubiquitous nature of mobile phones today brings tremendous convenience to our lives, but will
misuse of new improvements to this technology result in the loss of that convenience? For instance,
camera phones are now banned in many fitness centers, park restrooms, and other similar facilities
because some people have used them inappropriately to take compromising photos, and mobile phones
are banned in many classrooms because of the disruption of constant text messaging and the use of the
phone by dishonest students to cheat on exams. Do you think these reactions to mobile phone misuse are
justified? Is there another way to ensure the appropriate use of mobile phones without banning their use
for all individuals? Should there be more stringent consequences for those who use technology for illegal
or unethical purposes?

Answer 2

Mobile phones are very useful device or technology for everyone in our environment because it is a part
of life to communicate each other in any condition but in other hand we faced that in some areas mobile
phones are banned like gyms, schools, universities, other places. This is just because to stopped misuse
and appreciate things like in schools mobile phones are not allowed just to maintain discipline and ensure
that students are just concentrating to their studies and classes.
But on other we can use another way instead of ban mobile phones like we should charge penalty in use
of mobile phones in restroom or gyms. In schools there should be separate student’s lockers so they will
easily keep their mobile phones in that because mobile phone is necessary for students to contact their
parents or family in emergency. In museums, we can also make lockers or chambers for mobile phone or
charge penalty for using mobile phone or taking pictures so it would be easy tou stop misuse of mobile
phones instead of banned the mobile phones.
