According to the LOG report resultant friction = 1340.8 due
to DeadLoad (DL) i.e. 4469 x 0.3 …Ok
Resultant Disp X component of DL friction = 39.6/40.84 x 1340.8 = 1300
DX = 39.6mm = 40.84mm
[1561N] Add X friction = 260.7 due to bearing of 868.8 = 1560.7
(same AutoPIPE)
Z component of DL friction = 10/40.84 x 1340.8 = 328
Add Z bearing of 868.8 = 1196.8 (same as AutoPIPE )
Conclusion:
DZ = 10mm AutoPIPE Guides consider lateral friction from pipe moving
gap /Disp across the gap and due to full applied displacement i.e. both
[1197N] vertical and horizontal restraints move together with applied
displacement as in real guide cases.

Inclined and V-Stop supports act independently & consider
lateral friction from the full applied pipe movement

AutoPIPE Guide B04 is a real-world Guide behavior under applied structural movement
where the pipe is both guided and supported on the steel structure. Caesar shows a non-
conservative FX friction load on the guided support by 23%.
