Q. Monthly average daily value of bright sunshine hour for Kütahya is given as

6.5 hours for the month May. Calculate the absorbed solar irradiation by the

photothermal converter plate of a single cover flat plate collector (i.e. S), for an

average day of May in Kütahya, during the hourly interval 11:00-12:00.

Relevant data: KL=0.0125; ground albedo: g=0.40; tilt: =32o: Absorptance of

the photothermal converter: ⊥= 0.85. (If you need extra data you can use the

given in the book.)
