• Some of the properties of the impulse invariant transformation are
IIR FILTER DESIGN BY BILLINEAR TRANSFROMATION METHOD:
The IIR filter design using Impulse invariant method is not suitable for high pass or
band reject filters due to sharp cutoff frequency. The limitations are overcome by
using Bilinear transform method.
The bilinear transform method is obtained by using trapezoidal formula for
