PRODUCTION MEETING #2 February 26th, 2020

START TIME: 11:02a DIRECTORS: Chung Fu Chang, Noah Racey

IMPORTANT DATES:
1. Monday, March 1st 1p-2:40p: Costume Design Final Presentations
2. Thursday, March 4th: All shows
3. Thursday, March 11th: All shows
4. Thursday, March 18th: P. Johnston and C. Adam’s shows
5. Friday, March 19th 11a-12p: Next Production Meeting
6. Thursday, March 25th: P. Johnston and C. Adam’s shows

NOTES:
GENERAL NOTES:
1. All calendars have been updated with filming, light cueing and projection mapping
times.
2. M. Grevan will be sending a reminder to the cast for them to respond to designers
within 24 hours.
3. Citizen is cut from H.O.P.E.
SCHEDULING:
1. R. Hanna and D. Minzer will be scheduling a breakout meeting to discuss a date for
focus.
2. C. Carignan and S. Workman will be going through the schedule to ensure someone
trained in sound is available during all filming dates. C. Carignan will be looking for
work studies to help.
Opening Number:
1. We are adding April 2nd as a third filming day.
2. We are considering filming in the Griffin Lobby if filming outside is not possible due to
weather.
Tap:
1. We would like to schedule 30 minutes before filming begins in order to mic the cast.
We Shall Overcome:
1. We will be filming two person scenes, “We Are Not Responsible” and “Womanifisto,”
with both actors called at the same time for call and response scenes.
SCENIC:
1. Initial storyboards for all pieces will be uploaded to the OneDrive by the end of the day
on Monday, March 1st.
Anyway:
1. The door mentioned in filming will be on the green screen.

PROPERTIES:
Anyway:
1. We would like to ADD a funeral program.
She:
1. The painted protest signs will be in the same color pallet of the cast’s costumes.
COSTUMES/MAKEUP
1. The Stage Management team will be reaching out to the cast about whether they will
need powder provided, or not, for filming.
Sun Sun Sun:
1. The cast will be sending photos of their costumes to M. Grevan.
Tap:
1. S. Garifi will be sending photos of the costumes to the design team and M. Grevan next
week.
We Shall Overcome:
1. The cast will be sending photos of the costumes to Dr. Lewis and Stage Management
and will be uploaded to the OneDrive.
LIGHTING:
1. P. Johnston will be scheduling designers in designing time slots.
Imagine:
1. We will be adding a unifying look in post-production.
SOUND:
1. We would like a wireless mic set up in both Griffin and the Thrust Theatre.
Tap:
1. We would like to film the tap piece with the two cast members in wireless packs with
earpieces and a hardline to the cameras in order to insure they can hear the music
during filming.
We Shall Overcome:
1. We would like the cast to be in lav mics for filmimg.
Les Mis:
1. We would like to record the cast singing together to create a larger choral sound. S.
Workman is finding a space and location to achieve this.
FILMING/PROJECTIONS
1. The show order has not been solidified. N. Racey and Dr. Lewis will be meeting to
discuss a possible order and presenting this at the next production meeting.
2. A second camera has been ordered.
Cherries:
1. We would like to use a rolling track camera for filming. A shot list will be provided by
Monday, March 1st.
We Shall Overcome:
1. We would like to film “In Colorado by Father Scoured and Stacked Dishes” with the
camera moving in a crescent shape. We will be filming two person scenes, “We Are Not
Responsible” and “Womanifisto,” with both actors called at the same time for call and
response scenes.
