Maths Notes Test 3

The document contains formulas for calculating the circumference of a circle, perimeter of a sector, surface areas and volumes of various shapes including cubes, rectangular prisms, cylinders, spheres, pyramids, and notes on conversion between different capacity units like megalitres, kilolitres, and litres. It also provides the formulas for calculating surface area of any prism, square pyramids, cylinders, and half-cylinders.

Notes Test 3, Tahsan Amin

 Conversion Caterpillars

 Circumference of a circle: C= 2 π r or C = πd
θ
 Perimeter of Sector P=2 r + ×2π r
360
 Area Formulas
 1 Hectare = 10 000m2
 Capacity Units
- Megalitres (ML) 1 ML = 1000kL
- Kilolitres (kL) 1 kL = 1000L
- Litres (L) 1L = 1000ml
- Millilitres (mL)

 Formula for Surface Area of any prism (but when dealing with triangular prisms, divide answers by 2):
- ((Area of Front) × 2) + (Perimeter of Front) × Depth
 Formula for Surface Area of Square Pyramids: b2 + 2bh
 Formula for Surface Area of Cylinders: 2πr2 + 2π × rh
 Volume of solids with a uniform cross section is equal to area of cross section (A) × Height (H)
- V=A×h
 Formula for Surface Area for Half-Cylinder: π r 2+ πrh+ Dh
- r = Radius, h= Height, D = Diameter
