General Preparation for the CIM


1. Please go through the ppts and other documents uploaded on
moodle. The Book chapters as given below:
Book: Baltzan’s Business Driven Information Systems
All Page Numbers indicated are the chapter start page numbers
printed at the bottom left/right part of the page.

Examination Preparation
1. Types of Questions:
• Multiple choice questions – 20 (Caution: –ve Marking)
• Short answer type questions
(Six Questions- NO Negative Marking)
2. To Read: Class ppts (those uploaded), book chapters
and corresponding reading materials (as indicated in
this ppt) is sufficient for end-term examination.
3. Good Point: Your final grades will be relative, so
question setting will not impact much on your final
grades. Your understanding of the subject matters the
most.
General Instructions:
WRITE YOUR NAME AND ROLL NUMBER IN THE SPACE PROVIDED ON THE ANSWER
SHEET.
CLOSED-BOOK Examination.
Except one non-programmable Calculator no other electronic gadgets with calculation
facilities are allowed.
Answer all questions. Figures on the right hand margin indicate marks.
The question consists of two sections: Section A contains 25 multiple choice questions and
Section B contains 8 subjective type questions.
Section A:
 CIRCLE (NO OTHER SYMBOLS) the most appropriate answer among the available
choices.
 Correct Answers – For each correct answer 1 mark will be awarded.
 Wrong Answers – (NEGATIVE MARKING) for each wrong answer 0.25 marks will be
deducted.
 Unattended questions – No marks (zero) will be awarded.
 More than one circle or any other way to mark the right answer will be treated as
wrong.
Section B:
 No Negative marking
 The answers should be written clearly and legibly only on the space provided in the
question paper. Neither any extra sheets will be provided nor will be entertained.
Use rough sheets before attempting to write your final answer.
 For ROUGH WORK use ONLY the additional sheets provided by the invigilator.
 You should submit your ANSWER SHEET along with the ROUGH SHEETS (if any
used) to the invigilator.
Decision of the invigilators is final and binding on all the students.
