Engine oil and Filter replacment

1. Turn the car on until the engine is warm (so the oil is warm and flows
out with ease).
2. Unscrew the drain plug from the oil pan and drain the oil in an oil
bucket (located under the engine).

3. Reinstall the drain plug with a new washer with a torque of 45 N.m.
4. Remove the oil filter with a special oil filter socket (turn anti-clockwise).
5. Inspect the threads and rubber seal on the new filter for any defects,
and apply a light coat of new oil to the filter rubber seal.

6. Install the new filter by hand first (clockwise).


7. After the rubber seal is seated, tighten the oil filter clockwise with the
special tool.

Tightening torque: 22 N.m

8. Refill engine with new oil.

Recommended oil: SG grade oil 5W – 30

Capacity: 3.3L refill at oil + filter change

9. Check the oil level using the dip stick, make sure the engine is off and
the car is on level ground.
Air cleaner element replacement (air filter)
1. Locate and unscrew the air cleaner cover using a Phillips screwdriver.
2. Remove the old filter and clean the inside of the air cleaner case.
3. Replace with a new air filter.
4. Place the cover in position and the screws.

Spark plug replacement


1. Unscrew the 4 spark plugs using a 14mm socket.
2. Using ZFR5F-11(NGK) spark plugs for normal driving.
3. Adjust the gap with a gapping tool : 1.1 mm

4. Screw the plugs into the cylinder head finger tight, and then torque
them to 18 N.m using a torque wrench.

Fuel filter replacement


1. Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery negative
terminal.
2. Place a towel or rag under and around the fuel filter.
3. Relieve fuel pressure
I. Remove fuel filler cap
II. Use a 6mm wrench at the fuel filter and loosen the service bolt 1
complete turn
1. Remove the 12 mm banjo bolt and the fuel feed pipe from the filter.
2. Remove the fuel filter clamp and fuel filter.
3. Replace with a new fuel filter and assemble using new washers as
shown.
Transmission fluid change
1. Bring the transmission up to operating temperature by driving the car.
2. Park the car on level ground, and turn the engine off.
3. Locate and remove the transmission fluid drain plug.
4. Allow the fluid to drain out into a pan.
5. Replace the drain plug using a new washer to a torque of 40 N.m
6. Refill the transmission using Dexron ll automatic transmission fliud to
the upper mark on the dip stick.

Capacity: 2.7L at change

Inspections
1. Check the radiator coolant and top up if necessary.
2. Check the brake fluid level and top up if necessary.
3. Inspect the front and rear brakes pads and discs.
4. Parking brake.
5. Power steering fluid check and top up if necessary.
6. Check tires treads or for any damage.
7. Check all the hoses for any damage or wear & tear.
