TFV FLUID COUPLINGS


Type TFV fluid couplings are extension of Fluidomat traction Fluid Coupling type
T-12 and are backed by Fluidomat design and quality excellence of more than 3
decades.

These TFV couplings have a resilient driving plate on the input side and a
metallic disc semi flexible coupling on the output side. These are radially
displaceable couplings and the design is well proven over 3 decades.

To offer a wider choice and an option to our valued clients to adapt Fluidomat
Fluid Couplings, we now also offer our type TFV couplings in addition to our T-
12 series traction couplings. These TFV couplings can be adapted to replace
type FCU coupling in the existing installation or can be adapted for new
requirements as well.

Fluidomat TFV couplings offer many advantages over the FCU design explained
below:

 Baffle plate not used and hence characteristics can be adjusted simply by oil
filling in the full range.

In FCU couplings different sizes of baffle plates are used for the same size of
fluid couplings and therefore the performance adjustment is restricted to a
small zone for a given size of baffle plate.

 Much simpler lip type oil seal compared to semi mechanical and fragile oil
seal used in FCU coupling.

 In FCU coupling the driving plate is bolted directly on aluminium body of


impeller. Thus the impeller gets damaged when the driving plate gets
damaged/broken during operation or fitment. The damage to the impeller
body calls for impeller replacement which is very expensive.

In our TFV couplings the driving plate is not bolted directly to the impeller and
thus the above damage to impeller does not take place.

 Our TFV couplings have same shaft to shaft distance as that of FCU
couplings and thus no need to disturb/modify your existing drive set up with
FCU couplings.
