Emilio Aguinaldo wrote "Mga Gunita ng Himagsikan" (Memoirs of the Revolution) in 1964 during his time as President of the Philippines. The book describes Aguinaldo's experiences leading Philippine forces against Spain in the latter part of the Philippine Revolution. Aguinaldo intended the book for a Filipino audience. He published it in 1964 on the 100th anniversary of Philippine independence to share his perspective on the revolution and history from his role as a leader in the movement.
