Bachelor of Journalism streaming in Broadcast News - Ryerson University - (2006-2010)

Achievements

 Entered on the Dean’s List for 2009/2010 academic year in recognition of outstanding achievement in the
Ryerson School of Journalism.
 Received grade A for university final year TV documentary-making assignment, in my role as video editor, and
Grade A + for a feature documentary pitching assignment.
 Produced a radio mini-documentary that aired on CFRB Radio (April 05, 2009).
 Print articles published in a Ryerson campus newspaper, university journalism website, university feminist
magazine and online music magazine.
 Received grade A in university assignments in shooting, editing, lighting, use of chroma-key and on-screen
performance.

Association of Critical Care’s Ontario Annual Conference

 Created two presentations that were used by the same client in her role as speaker and as key note speaker
at the annual ACC Ontario conference in 2009 and 2010.
 Consulted directly with the client to negotiate audio visual elements of presentation.
 Created all animated slide show elements such as video clips, original picture montages and sound effects
and inserted coordinated elements into PowerPoint platform.
 Provided on-call and on-location tech support at clients request to reduce risk.
Intern Producer - CTV’s Canada AM Sept – Oct ’09
CTV: Toronto, On.
 Pitched story ideas daily.
 Produced segments - chased and prepared guests for live interview, wrote technical. and verbal scripted
elements and suggested questions, provided research for the host to review, selected graphics and video
material, did paper edits.
 Worked alongside the production coordinator to cut and log all video elements for the live show. I was
required to perform her duties by myself when she was unable to come in due to illness.

Interests and Hobbies

I enjoy movies, particularly documentaries and horror movies, surfing YouTube and listening to a wide variety of
electronic and rock music. I love reading magazines and blogs and watching news broadcasts. When I have a little
money I like experimenting with new technology and software and I enjoy watching television programs about
entertainment technology and video games, even though I’m not very good at playing them!
