This lesson plan is for a Women's Ensemble rehearsal at Geneva College on April 16, 2021. The plan involves warming up the students with various vocal exercises incorporating dynamics and articulations. Students will then learn about the IV chord in Eb major, the key of the song "True Colors", by building the triad and identifying its scale degrees. The bulk of the rehearsal will be spent adding dynamics to phrases of "True Colors" and accurately singing the last section of the song. Students will be assessed on their musical accuracy and ability to analyze the IV chord triad. Modifications and accommodations will be made as needed.
