Alcatel-Lucent 7342 ISAM I-240W-A Residential Indoor Ont: Features Benefits
Alcatel-Lucent 7342 ISAM I-240W-A Residential Indoor Ont: Features Benefits
The Alcatel-Lucent 7342 Intelligent Service Access Manager (ISAM) I-240W-A Residential Indoor
Optical Network Terminal (ONT) provides 4 Gigabit Ethernet (GigE), two plain old telephone service
(POTS), and IEEE 802.11b/g/n wireless interfaces. It terminates a full service access network
(FSAN)-compliant gigabit passive optical network (GPON) fiber interface and is designed to deliver
triple play services with high bandwidth capacity. The combination of the ONT termination and
the residential gateway functionality reduces the number of devices needed in the home.
FEATURES BENEFITS
• Four RJ-45 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports • Integrates the ONT and wireless access
with auto negotiation and Media Dependant point functions to allow for one less
Interface/Media Dependant Interface device in the home
Crossover (MDI/MDIX) auto sensing • Delivers connectivity to Ethernet and
• Built-in Layer 2 switch wireless devices within the home
• Advanced data features such as • Supports full triple play services
virtual LAN (VLAN) tag manipulation, including voice, video, and high-speed
classification and filtering Internet access
• Wireless 802.11b/g/n • Supports IP video distribution
• Two POTS ports for carrier grade voice • Delivers voice services using voice over
services IP (VoIP). Supports voice services using
• 5 ringer equivalence numbers (RENs) SIP with G.711, G.729 (A and B), and
per line, balanced ring at 55 V root mean G.723.1 codecs
square (RMS), and dual-tone multi-frequency • Supports fax services
(DTMF) dialing • Supports connection to USB disk drives
• Multiple voice codec for home network-attached storage
• Echo cancellation, voice activity detector (NAS) service
(VAD), and comfort noise generator (CNG) • Delivers video services efficiently with
• Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) (RFC 3261) multicasting or unicasting
• Two USB 2.0 ports • Internet Group Management Protocol
(IGMP) proxy
• G.984 compliant
