Lesson Plan in Electronic Products Assembly and Servicing

The lesson plan teaches students how to use a digital multimeter to measure voltage, continuity, and resistance. It involves watching instructional videos, doing an activity to identify electrical components and their correct measurement settings, and practicing measurements in groups. The objective is for students to learn the proper use of measuring tools for different circuit components.

Lesson Plan in Electronic Products Assembly and Servicing

Grade 7

I. Objectives: At the end of the lesson, students are expected to;

1. Select the correct measuring instrument to be used.
2. Measure voltage, continuity, and resistance.
3. Observe safety procedures in performing measurements.

II. Subject Matter:

" Measuring Voltage, Continuity and Resistance with Digital Multimeter (DMM)"
Learning Competency: Identify objects or components to be measured.
Select measuring tools in line with job requirements

1. Visual Materials: Laptop, LCD projector, black board

2. Reference: K-12 Learning Module, Martin et., al., p. 13-16, AN80001/80002 User’s Manual p. 5,

Our objective is to select the proper

In order to do this, we need to have
an activity called “Identify me”

1. Activity - Identify Me!

You will be divided into 4 groups.
Each group will be given a
component or an item and a digital
multimeter. You need to identify
the component or the item and The students go with their group

multimeter before testing it. You
will be given 3 minutes to test it.
Each group must have a leader and
a reporter. Each reporter will be
given three minutes to discuss the
following; Name of the component,
where to plug the probes, setting of
the multimeter, the kind of testing
they perform and remarks. For the
remarks, just say defective or not.

But before you can do this, I need

to show another video clip on how
to perform these measurements.
