Equations of Lines

Slope-intercept form of a linear equation

 The equation of a line with y-intercept (0 , b) and with slope m can
be written as
y=mx+b

Point-slope form of a linear equation

 The equation of a line with slope m that passes through ( x ¿ ¿ 1 , y 1 )¿
is given by
y− y1 =m( x−x 1)

Two-point form of a linear equation

 The two-point form of a line passing through the points
( x ¿ ¿ 1 , y 1 )¿ and ( x ¿ ¿ 2 , y 2 )¿ is given by
y 2− y 1
y− y1 = ( x−x 1)
x2− x1

Write an equation of a line in standard form ( Ax+ By=C) that

satisfies the following conditions.
