Action Taimanin 101
Action Taimanin 101
Introduction
This guide is meant to introduce the basic UI and Gameplay of Action Taimanin. I
recommend unselecting View > “Print layout” for easier reading.
The guide is still in its early stages so there’s going to be a lot of mess and clusters here
an there. It will take sometime before everything settles down so bear with it for a little while.

Message:
Arena is out and I’ll be working on it slowly as I figure out how things work. So please be patient.
The Arena stuff are kinda expensive so it’s going to take a while to get more resources to buy
them and figure them out.

Week 2
Guerilla Campaigns
These campaigns are time limited missions that seems to be popping out once in a while and
disappears after a time period.
They consist of Gacha related missions (do x amount of 10 pulls) and also some temporary
bonus missions.
Quick Notes and FAQs
How do I pass the 3rd tutorial Mission?
The mission requires you to use the unit skills. Hold down the attack button after an
attack to use skills.

Facilities
The facilities tab opens up a set of facilities you can upgrade and use.
To unlock these facilities you will need to be at the specified rank and have the gold and items
to unlock it.
For all the Facilities outside of the Private Room, you can send your units on these timed
missions to earn extra skill points
You can select a support for extra bonuses such as reduced strengthening time. Once you’ve
done that, select a weapon to strengthen.
Increasing level increases upgrade slots which allows you to upgrade multiple weapons at the
same time.
The item producing facility is a facility that you can use to upgrade or downgrade materials.
Choose a support for bonus effects. Once that’s done, it's time to select what item you’d like to
produce (upgrade/downgrade)
Once you’ve clicked on the ‘+’ sign, you’ll move to a different page. Here you can select what
you want to create.
You can change the amount if you have the required materials. Also note that in the selection
there is a number (e.g. 1 for the silver orb, 2 for the bronze orb), those are the amount you get
from doing one set of production.
Production lists unlocks with facility levels. Each level also unlocks another slot.
At the bottom you can see the base time required for 1 set of production. The required time (in
green) is the total time you require which can be influenced by the support you use and the
amount you are producing.

Strengthening Training Area
Unlockable at Commander Rank 10
In the strengthening training Facility, you can earn extra experience points by choosing a
Taimanin to be used for Training.
You can use supporters to get bonuses on the training, for example, the current support in the
above image reduces training time.
When you’re ready, click on select Taimanin and it will bring you to a Taimanin selection page.
Here, choose the Taimanin you want to train, click ‘Select Taimanin’ and the training will begin.
In the skill training Facility, you can earn extra Skill points by choosing a Taimanin to be used for
Training.
Received skill points depends on your facility level.
Private Room
Unlocks at Commander Rank 5
Here you can use your currently owned playable characters and skins and play around with
their model.
Choose a character/characters and move them around, mess with their joints and have fun.
Quests
In the quest page you will find 5 different banners. Initially you will only have access to the main
story.
AP is used for Main Quests and Daily Quests while BP is used for Time Attack mode.
General Quests Page
When you select a quest, you will be sent to something similar to the screenshot below.
On the quest page, you can toggle difficulty, check challenge objectives and also increase AP
consumption.
Increasing AP consumption increases the drops and EXP gained accordingly. You can use 2x,
3x and 5x AP consumption with this option. However, for Main and Daily Quests it is only
unlocked once you’ve completed a mission.
Challenge Objectives
Challenge Objectives gives extra rewards when cleared (usually gems).
Difficulty determines the amount of objectives you need to clear. Easy has 1 objective, Medium
has 2 and Hard has 3.
The following are translation/explanation for current known missions (replace XXX with
numbers):
● XXX秒未満でクリア - Clear within XXX seconds
● HPXX%以上でクリア - Clear with HP above XX%
● XXコンボ達成 - Reach or exceed XX combo
● 被撃XX回以下 - Get attacked less than XX times
Main Quest
Main Quest allows you to follow the storyline of Action Taimanin. Here you can select the
chapter and difficulty you want to play. Once a section is selected you will be directed to the
quest page.
Daily Quests
Daily Quests are your main source of upgrade materials. Each day a certain type (or multiple
types) of Daily Quest will be on ½ AP so make sure you capitalize on that.
The ones highlighted in yellow are the days that that particular daily quest is on ½ AP.
Clicking on Story will transfer you to a page where you choose stage and difficulty. You have to
unlock each stage by completing the one before. Basically, the same as playing through a story
chapter. Higher stages give more tickets so it might be a good idea to do the hardest level you
can reliably clear.
On the Gacha Page, you can see the available rewards, simply click on draw to use your tickets
and draw the event gacha. And that’s pretty much all there is to say about Story Gacha events.
Similar to the earlier one, you play missions to collect tickets. However, instead of all the
rewards being in 1 single pool, the rewards are now divided into boxes.
The boxes can be reset once the reward marked with ‘RARE’ is drawn.
You can check ‘REWARD INFO’ for the information of the rewards in each box.
Special Mode
Special Mode consists of a Bike game which you can play every 6 hours. You get 3 gems and
some gold for completing the special mode.
Time Attack
Time Attack are your sources of high rank Magatama (They drop at a 100% rate for each run).
You can get lower rank Magatamas from the gold gacha.
The way time attack works is that it combines all the sections in the chapter into 1 big stage
without the cutscenes and you will have to clear it.
Also note that you’ll be using BP here instead of AP. Additionally, for Time Attack, you can
change BP consumption for every chapter even if you have not cleared it yet.
Arena
*The mode is still new and I’m still trying to figure out everything so there will probably be
constant changes and small additions and removals here
Arena mode is an Auto PVP system where you pit your characters against other players and
climb ranks.
To unlock the Arena Mode, you have to clear the Arena Prologue, this only means that you
need to get enough enough battle data to reach 100%. You can increase your progress by
doing stages on any difficulty, so don’t worry if you can’t clear hard Arena Prologue.
Arena Screens
Once you enter Arena, you will be greeted with the page below. Here, you set your Arena Team
and match make to fight other players.
* To play Arena, you do not need 3 characters. You only need to have a unit in slot 3.
Here, you can choose any buff pills or reward buffs you’d like to use (pills can be crafted in the
Item Facility).
You can also find another enemy, though this will cost you extra gold.
Crests
Crests can be bought from the Arena shop. Higher tier Arena shops sells them in bulk at a
cheaper price per unit. However, you have to be at that Arena tier or higher to be able purchase
crests from there.
First, the SET BONUS. What ‘main option’ will get a bonus is determined by the crest in slot
number [1], and the extent of effect of that bonus is determined by how many of the same color
and symbol crests you have in your set.
Second is simply the effect from each individual crest. The yellow text are the parts which have
been boosted by the SET BONUS which is basically the ‘main option’ of each crest with the
same symbol and color as the one in slot number [1].
You can see that a 3 set gives a 50% boost to main option effectiveness to all 3 crests, while a
1 set only gives a 10% boost to the first one.
Upgrading Crests
Crest can be upgraded using special silver orbs. These can be crafted or bought from the Arena
store (though it is recommend that your craft it).
Each crest can be upgraded 10 times in total. With each upgrade, the success chance drops
(minimum 50%) and failure is counted in the total 10 times you can upgrade as well.
You can reset the upgrade count using gold orbs that can be obtained from Arena store or from
Arena reward boxes.
Characters
When you enter the character page you’ll be asked to select a character.
Once you’ve selected a character you will be transferred to the character status tab of the
character info page.
Status
On the status tab, you see a list of options on the left to strengthen your characters. You can
also see your units total battle power here.
To check for more details of your weapons click on the weapon image.
Weapon Skin Swap swaps your weapon skin with your unit’s default weapon skin.
Skills
On the Skills tab, the page is separated into two parts, active skills and passive skills.
To unlock active skills or level up passive skills you need skill points which can be obtained by
using the character on missions or through using the Skill Training Area (See Facilities).
*Passive skills does affect your unit total battle power, however, you may have to restart the
game to see it in effect.
Setting, Equipping and How to Use Skills
When you click on a Skill Slot you will be taken to the character Skill List.
The ‘How to use skill’ box shows the action combinations to activate the skill.
Symbol
For the support bonus, if you use the support with the same affinity as listed in the ‘Support
Bonus for Skill’ you will activate a bonus for that skill. These varies between skills so check
carefully.
Supporters
On the Supporters tab, you can see your current equipped supporters.
The main supporter gets full use of the HP/DEF bonuses while sub supporters only give you a
small portion of their stats.
The first or main supporter’s active skill will be usable in battle while the other provides stat
bonuses and bonuses from their passive skills.
At the bottom half, you can see your currently set skills. The small orbs here tells you how many
skill bonuses you are currently activating (e.g. for the first skill in the picture all 3 bonuses are
activated).
Here, you can also click on the supporter portraits to access their strengthening page. For more
information on strengthening supporters, see Strengthening Supporters.
Costumes
In the costumes tab you can buy or change costumes/color for your current selected character.
Purchasing the costume will immediately add its stat bonus to you character’s accumulated
costume stats. This means that you will get the stat bonus no matter which costume you are
currently using.
You can also change color (and toggle hair accessories for some costumes).
Strengthening
Characters
You can level your units by completing quests or putting them in the Strengthening Training
Area.
Once your units hit max level you can limit break them.
Limit Breaking
To limit break characters, go to the Character Page -> Status Tab. Click on Limit break to go to
the Limit break page.
This will take you to the limit breaking page. You can see the cost and required items for
limit breaking here. Each unit starts with 1 star and the amount of stars increases with each limit
break.
Limit breaking books drop from Main Quests, Daily Quests and Gold Gacha. Limit break
Materials drop from Daily Quest and can also be crafted in the LV3 Item Production Facility.
Weapons
To strengthen a weapon you will need to go to the weapon’s detail page. You can get there by
clicking on the weapon image on the Weapon Tab in the Character info screen or from your
inventory page.
Strengthening
To strengthen weapons, click strengthen on the weapons page (see above). This will
lead you to the weapon strengthening page.
Here, you can select the materials you want to use yourself or use the auto-select feature.
Toggle Materials will toggle between the upgrade material and your weapon inventory which
you can use to upgrade your current weapon.
Once you’ve selected the materials, simply click strengthen to upgrade your weapon.
Skill Level Up
To level up a weapon skill, you will need a copy of the same weapon.
Select increase skill level from the weapon’s page. This page is only accessible if you have a
duplicate weapon that can be used for skill up.
After limit breaking a weapon, the level is reset back to 1, the weapon level cap in increased,
and a Magatama slot is unlocked.
Magatamas
Magatama are bead like objects that you can equip on weapons to gain bonus stats and
attributes. They can be obtained from time attacks (up till SR), and Gold Gacha (N and R only).
While they can be equipped on the weapons page, upgrading Magatamas require you to access
the Magatama tab in the inventory page.
In the Magatama inventory page, you can select Magatama, mass sell and mass lock you
Magatamas.
You can strengthen your Magatama using the strengthen button. If your Magatama is at max
level, the button will change to polish instead.
Strengthening
To upgrade a Magatama, select a Magatama from the inventory page and click strengthen.
Note that Magatamas can only be upgraded using other Magatamas. To upgrade, simply select
the materials and click strengthen.
The green bar shows how much your current bonus compares to the maximum available bonus
of that certain attribute.
Once you polish a Magatama, the level resets to 1. However, base stats of the Magatama is
increased.
This still needs a lot of checking and investigation. However, due to how important the
bonuses add to your overall strength, I’ve decided to put an unfinished list here for now.
Please understand that there may be some mistakes such as whether the stats are
exclusive to Magatama colors or not.
Resetting Bonuses
If you have bonuses unlocked you can access the reset bonus page from the Magatama page.
On this page, select a bonus attribute you want to reset and click reset. Make sure to check the
required materials.
Once you click on reset, the game will generate a new attribute for your Magatama. You can
choose between the old attribute or the newly generated one. Though even if you choose the
old one, your resources are not returned.
To choose the attribute, simply click on the ‘select this bonus’ under that attribute.
Supporters
To strengthen a supporter you will need to go to the supporter page. You can get there by
clicking on the supporter portrait on the Supporter Tab in the Character info screen or from your
inventory page.
Strengthening
If your unit is at max level, the strengthen button will become a limit break button.
In the strengthening page, you can select the materials you want to use yourself or use the
auto-select feature.
Toggle Materials will toggle between the upgrade material and your supporter inventory which
you can use to upgrade your current supporter.
Once you’ve selected the materials, simply click strengthen to upgrade your supporter.
Skill Level Up
To level up a supporter skill, you will need a copy of the same supporter. Click on increase skill
level on the unit details page.
Here, select the supporter to use as material. As you can see, the skill level of the unit will
become level 2 and stats are also increased (by 15% here).
Once you’ve maxed leveled a supporter, you can access the Limit Break page.
After limit breaking a supporter their levels are reset to 1 and their level cap is increased. Each
supporter can be limit broken twice.
For supporters, you will have to get them at max bond to view their bond scene. Once you click
on it, you will see special art for the bond scene, click movie player icon on the bottom right of
the special art to play the scene. (To avoid spoilers and revealing locked content, no image will
be given here).
Additionally you can get gems for each level of bond you increase with them. Simply click on the
gem image on the page when you’ve reached that bond level to collect your rewards.
The swap display is unlocked when you reach max limit break and max level for that character.
This gives you some small visual effects for the character.
Settings
Access settings from the Menu. Here you can adjust game and notification settings.
