Babag National High School: Accountancy and Business Management

This study examines the struggles of grade 10 teachers in Babag National High School in implementing alternative delivery mode (ADM) during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through online interviews of two teachers, the researchers found that the teachers faced difficulties with the new online teaching platform, including lack of communication with students, slow internet connections, and poor time management. Students also struggled with feeling uncomfortable, stressed, and anxious while learning online. The transition to online learning highlighted the need for teachers to develop innovative teaching methods to engage students remotely. This research provides insight into supporting teachers and students during the disruption to traditional education caused by the pandemic.

With less than two months out from the new academic year, universities around the world are
innovating the way they deliver classes and educate students. Virtual education is not revolutionary news, but the
degree to which online platforms and services are used by institutions to educate and inspire learners is.

This research is based on “A new pedagogy is emerging... and Online Learning is a Key Contributing Factor".
According to UNESCO, one and a half billion students around the world have enrolled in Online learning due to this
Covid-19 pandemic. To do so, several students were allowed to use the Internet, but not all. These will be used as learning
instruments for the majority of students around the world who have access to smartphones. Others have smartphones,
computers, or desktops and are luckier. At first, a lot of faculty wanted to recreate what they usually do in a classroom online
and it was successful and stressful.
They quickly found that this was not a realistic solution, since not all students were able to reliably access synchronous
classes and many had difficulties, such as other siblings or parents having access to the technology, wireless Internet access
rates beyond their ability to afford, or in different time zones. Nor has it been successful. Faculty requested assistance from
online teaching peers with prior experience, searching for examples of what succeeded with their discipline. They were
influenced by examples of performing arts and music, in which Zoom rehearsals and performances created extraordinary
experiences that changed life.
Some explored open tools for schooling, materials, laboratories, images, simulations, games, which helped them find
new ways to involve their online learners. Some genuinely creative concept concepts arose, such as a COVID-19 course in
which a separate "angle" (epidemiology, economics, psychology, virology, and politics) was the subject of a faculty member
from that discipline for each week taught.
