II. Rationale:

Quality education has always been an issue and that has become a priority across the
globe. It is an important factor in determining a country’s competency and delivering high-
grade education is not possible without quality teachers molding and inspiring our students
inside and outside the four walls of the classroom.

With the implementation of the K-12 Curriculum, teachers are expected to manifest
characteristics of 21st century teachers and thus, constant enrichment , updating , and capacity
building programs are necessary to meet this expectation. Innovations in teaching and
integration of technology are also encouraged to make teaching-learning situations
meaningful and relevant. Thus, learning can better take place.

This seminar-workshop is a re-echo of the participants of National Seminar-

Workshop on Teaching Technologies the Simple Way’ held last July 14-16,2017 in Davao
City. Participants will be exposed to the basic concepts of Adobe Photoshop and other
Microsoft applications which teachers can use in making creative and innovative instructional
materials.

III. Objectives:

At the end of the activity, the following objectives are targeted to be actualized:

a. To impart to the teacher participants the basic usage of Adobe

Photoshop and other Microsoft applications and strategies in making
instructional
materials
b. To develop the creativity of teachers by enhancing the teaching and learning
processes/
experiences with the integration of technology
c. Facilitators /teacher –participants to conduct demonstration/ return demonstration
teaching applying the concepts learned from the seminar - workshop

VI: Budgetary Requirements:

VIII: Socio-Economic Justification

Despite the large effect of teachers on student performance, schools are not always
staffed with the highest quality teachers. Thus, programs and policies must be aimed to raise
teacher quality by providing targeted teachers with skills and develop their competencies to
ensure that they receive the tools they need to work with students. Teachers should not only
enhance their pedagogical knowledge but on other areas as well such as in their technical
acumen and spiritual selves. Hence, teachers who are well-equipped and competent will have
high value in the society particularly in the professional world. Likewise, students who are
molded by these teachers will be encouraged and inspired to perform well in school paving
the way to a successful future.

IX: Sustainability:

It is the goal of the Department of Education that every teacher will become not only
efficient but also effective. It is in this mission that today, a lot of training’s and seminars are
being conducted to improve and develop the craft of each mentor in school. The Department
fully understand that everything rises and falls on the teachers capability to bring learning at
the heart of every pupil.

Training’s and seminars on new methods and techniques and innovations in teachings,
orientations on ICT integration , are being held to prepare all the teachers in globalization. Their
attendance to these seminars will help create an effective learning environment, improve teaching-
learning situations, keep updated on modern instructional devices and inspire them to become better
teachers in the modern world. Since the department is offering free training’s and seminars, teachers
must grab this opportunity for self- improvement.

Furthermore, the conduct of demonstration teaching/return demonstration of facilitators /

teacher-participants is included in the training workshop as a way of enhancing the effectiveness,
applicability and the usefulness of the concepts learned and skills acquired.
