The lighting demands of
today's parking garages are
many. Quality and uniform
illumination, high perform-
ance engineering, and cost
effectiveness are critical
considerations for the archi-
tects, engineers, garage
owners and operators who
have the concern of facility
design in mind.

At LSI Lighting Systems, we

recognize the unique needs of the parking
garage marketplace. We've been serving

GLARE
When uncontrolled, glare creates
discomfort to the eye which can be
distracting and can adversely aifect
driver and pedestrian visibility.
Fluorescent and refractor type
fixtures do nothing to control glare.
The Park Avenue Series however,
features an optics package which
produces vertical illumination as
well as horizontal illurrrnation. This
combination provides a glareJree
environment which creates a safe,
warm-to-the eye, parking garage
for drivers and pedestrians.

LSI LIGHTING SYSTEMS

FIXTURE
POSITIONING
with the limitations imposed by the
slandard low ceilings of parking ga-
rages, a light fixture should provide
controlled light distribution which
includes a sharp cutoff and effective
glare control. As shown in the dia-
grams al right. conventronal lumi-
naires are often mounted within the
coffer beam recess which diminishes
their lighting efficiency. Others
protrude below the coffer beams or
are mounted directly to the ceiling
with resulting high glare and uneven
light distribulion. The Park Avenue
Series is designed to mount flush
with the bottom of coffer beams, thus
crealing a uniform light pattern unob
structed by the coffer beams. Or the
f ixture may be mounted directly to

the ceiling providing glare free,

uniform light.
LSI LIGHTING SYSTEMS

VERTICAL BURN
ADVANTAGES
The Park Avenue Series fealures a
vertical burn lamp and ref lector
4 system which translates directly
into longer lamp life, superior light
distribution and uniformity, and the
elimination of undesirable hot spots
associated with conventional hori-
zontal lamp fixtures.
