In recent years, users of information and those who provides information have called for improved skills

operationalization of ISM in an enterprise.
The course topics and selected Harvard Business School (HBS) case studies used in the course are a
collection of up-to-date problems and issues in ISM. There are three main aspects of ISM that will be
discussed, i.e. the contribution of IT in increasing business advantage, the business of IT itself covering
IT infrastructure and IT services, and the governance and leadership of the IT function.
Upon completion of this course, students are expected to acquire concepts as well as practical
knowledge relevant to the context of implementing and organizing Information Systems in a proper and
professional manner in the eyes of a Chief Information Officer (CIO).
