MUNICIPAL RESEARCH CONGRESS AND IN-SERVICE TRAINING

ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
October 21-25, 2019

“Education is a continuous process”. Thus, we teachers need to engage in

workshops and training to enhance our teaching skills. We are very fortunate that the
Department of Education has given us the opportunity to grow and develop our skills. It
is the reason why Maramag I District came up with a Unified District In-Service Training
form October 21-25, 2019.

On the first day of Inset, the Municipal Research Congress was the highlight of
the day. Researchers from Maramag I, II and III districts were allowed to present their
researches in which I find it very interesting. Action Research is very important because
it will allow us teachers gain more information and knowledge in solving a certain
problem. Aside from that, we can also help our pupils learn their least mastered
competencies. The entire day we are amazed by the innovative skill of the teachers.
Through their researches they were able to address and solve the problems that they
have encountered in their classrooms.

On day two, I was able to share the knowledge that I have gained through
Strategic Intervention Material (SIM) enhancement and workshop as the Resource
Speaker to the Grade 4-6 Teachers. SIM is very helpful to teachers, since it will help
them reteach the least mastered competencies and allow pupils to engage in activities
that will develop skills. In the afternoon, teachers were given an ample time to make their
SIM as their output.

Day three, our Resource Speakers were Dr. Maria Gemma T. Aligsao and Mrs.
Maria Denia M. Matabalan, they discussed Action Research and Alternative Delivery
Mode respectively. The participants are given activities that they have to accomplish as
their outputs of the day. In the afternoon, there are demonstration teaching on the
beginning reading and close reading strategies, and Strategic Intervention Material
output presentations.

On the last two days of our In-Service training we are given the time to have a
midyear review of our Individual Performance Commitment and Review Form (IPCRF). It
is also the time that we compiled all the supporting documents needed.
