Data Migration Error

While receiving materials in a stock account using transaction code MIGO, an error can occur due to incomplete data migration from an old or legacy system to SAP. To resolve this, users must first complete data migration and then go to transaction code FINS_MIG_FINISH to select the error message type related to data migration and mark the migration as completed. This will allow accounting documents to be posted properly in SAP.

Error Detail: While receiving material in stock account through “T-Code: MIGO”, below error may show

by the SAP System. Reason behind this error message is - Before posting any Accounting effective
document we need to complete data migration from our old system / legacy system to SAP System.

Solution: To solve this Error at first we have to complete our data migration from old system / legacy
system to SAP System. After than we need to go to “T-Code: FINS_MIG_FINISH”. From the displaying
screenshot (below) we need to select the message Type which contains Data migration error. After than
we will have to set data migration completed.
