COURSE TITLE: EXCEL


COURSE CODE: CS 202
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This subject deals with the study of a spreadsheet
program designed to create, organize and analyze
data. It is very powerful tool for day-to-day business
activities such as preparing simple invoice, making an
office form or managing a complex accounting ledger.
It will utilize the Microsoft Excel for windows.

LECTURE UNIT: 3 Units


CONTACT HOURS: 30 Hours ( 3 hours per week)
PREREQUISITES: N/A

COURSE INTENDED PERFORMANCE STANDARD:

1. Understand EXCEL for Windows fully.


2. Create, save and open a sheet in a spreadsheet,
3. Enter data– text, numbers and formulas in a sheet
4. Navigate within a sheet and also between different sheets of a workbook
5. Insert and delete cells, rows and columns in a sheet
6. Select, copy, paste and delete cell data within a worksheet
7. Use various formulas and in built functions provided in the spreadsheet
8. Create error free sheets using special tools like spell check and auto correct
9. Setup the page and margins of the worksheets so as to print it in a paper of
desired choice
10. Format the data in the worksheet entirely or selectively
11. Define and apply styles
12. Enhance worksheets using charts.
