Lab Report: Course Name: Electrical Circuit Course Code: CSE-133 Topic: Verification of Ohm's Law

This lab report summarizes an experiment to verify Ohm's Law. The student measured the current and voltage in circuits with resistances of 10 kilo-ohms and 17 kilo-ohms when varying the applied voltage from 0 to 10 volts. The results supported Ohm's Law, as current was directly proportional to voltage in both circuits. The student demonstrated understanding that for resistive components, current and voltage have a direct linear relationship.

Date of Submission: 27/02/2021

Intended Learning Outcome:

A. Able to determine different parameter of electrical circuits practically

B. Able to verify the Ohm’s law by comparing the practical value and theoretical value

Expected skills:
1. Measuring voltage and current using multimeter and ammeter

Tools Required:
1. Trainer Board 2. DC power supply 3. Multimeter 4. Resistance 5. Ammeter 6. wire

Theory:

In a circuit the current is proportional to the applied voltage and inversely proportional to the

Resistance. By simple mathematical manipulations, the voltage and resistance can be found in

Terms of the other two quantities:

DISCUSSION:
1) The current flowing through a constant resistor is directly proportional to the
voltage applied to its ends.

2) I've learned understood that current and voltage hold a direct relationship for resistive
components. (They're linearly proportional)

Applied Voltage In (V) X=Voltage for 17 kilo ohm Y=Current for 17 kilo ohm
