Puncher 2 Manual

Puncher 2 is a multi-FX plugin that provides transient shaping, multiband compression, and parallel compression in a single plugin. It allows precise control over transients, with options to filter detection signals and adjust peak width, sustain gain, and other parameters. The plugin's interface includes presets, a meter, and gain controls, as well as advanced panels to customize compression settings for individual frequency bands or parallel processing.

PUNCHER 2 Manual

Introduction
Puncher 2 is a Multi-FX plug-in that will add instant power and punch to your tracks.

Puncher 2 is designed to give you absolute tonal control of transient energy so that you can
customize and shape those sounds.

Rather than have 3 separate units, Puncher 2 has the 3 elements you need to give your mix that clear
extra punch, all in one compact plugin.

Features

Puncher 2 logo:
- Acts as a smoothed bypass control for the whole plug-in.

W.A. Production logo:

- Opens the W.A. Production website in your default browser.

Preset Manager:
- A custom preset manager that loads, saves and can skip through presets in the custom .wap format
from the W.A. Production 'preset folder' in the standard application data directory on your
computer.

Metering and output volume:

- A smoothed stereo peak meter that displays the highest left and right peaks of the audio after
processing. It has stereo clip-lights and shows the max-value of the left and right track with a hold-
time of two seconds. Underneath the meter is a gain control that lets you adjust the output volume
to compensate for clipping your signal.

Transients:
- Controls the intensity of the transient shaping effect.
Transients - advanced panel:
- 'Mix' acts as a stereo linking control that gradually mixes the left and right detection channel to a
mono signal to even-out the left and right gain boosts or cuts..
- 'LPF' and 'HPF' allow you to filter the left and right detection signal to have the effect only react to a
certain frequency range in your track.
- 'Att' and 'Gain 1' control the peak-width and max/min gain of the transients in your track.
- 'Rel' and 'Gain 2' control the length and max/min gain of the sustain in your track.

Multiband:
- Controls the intensity of the multiband compression effect from.

Multiband - advanced panel:

- 'Freq 1', 'Freq 2' and 'Freq 3' control the crossover frequencies of the compressor's 4 bands.
- 'Select band' lets you select the compressor controls for the individual bands.
- 'Thres', 'Ratio', 'Att' and 'Rel' allow you to fin tune the compression settings for the individual
bands.
- 'Gain' lets you adjust the output volume of the individual bands, to compensate for the
compressor's attenuation.

Parallel:
- Controls the intensity of the parallel compression effect from 0% to 100%.

Parallel - advanced panel:

- 'RMS' allows you to adjust the RMS time of the detection signal to fine tune the smoothness of the
parallel compression effect.
- 'Thres', 'Ratio', 'Att', 'Rel' and 'Knee' allow you to fin tune the compression settings.
- 'Gain' lets you adjust the output volume of the selected band to compensate for the compressor's
attenuation.
