Personal Profile

I am currently working full time in The Anchor Bar, having recently graduated with a
2:1 in Ethical Hacking from The University of Abertay Dundee. This course gave me
experience with networking, penetration testing, digital forensics, reverse
engineering, cloud computing and social engineering.
My honours project was titled “How Can Blockchain be Utilised on a File System to
Aid in a Digital Forensics Investigation.” The project involved creating a virtual file
system that stored users actions to a log and used blockchain to provide the log with
a level of immutability. This was created using Linux FUSE and written in Python.
The project was evaluated, and its likely effectiveness formed part of my dissertation.

I am a hard-working conscientious individual with a sharp interest and focus on cyber

security. I am an incredibly punctual person with merits for attendance and time
keeping extending as far back as school. I consider myself to be a kind, loyal and
trustworthy person.

Employment History

The Anchor Bar May 2017 – Present

Currently, I am working as a bar man. I have however, fulfilled several roles in my
term of employment; kitchen porter, chef and delivery driver. Being a part of the team
at The Anchor has shown my adaptability as the needs of the business are many.

Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) April 2010 – August 2016
I was a part of the Bereavement Service, working both as a telephony agent and an
admin assistant. My main responsibilities were taking the calls to notify the DWP that
a benefits recipient had passed. This entailed notifying all relevant government and
public departments that someone had passed. Performing eligibility checks for help
with funeral costs also fell into my responsibilities. This role refined my customer
service skills due to the sensitive nature of the calls I was handling and further
improved my team working skills due to the high level of inter-departmental co-
operation necessary. Also assumed the position of training new staff in my last 18
months of employment, developing training schedules and practices.

Tesco Superstore July 2007 - February 2010

Part time position whilst at school, my duties included till operating, serving
customers, cash handling and the processing other payment methods, customer
service, helping in other sections if they were short staffed, e.g. the petrol station and
frequently did overtime as and when required.

I’ve a keen interest in music and have consistently played in the Dundee music
scene for over 10 years, as the drummer for Ramblin Defoe and currently The Marx. I

particularly the Roman era and the World Wars. My interest in Roman history lead
me to joining the Ermine Street Guard, which conducts multiple yearly displays and
re-enactments of Roman military life, I have travelled abroad frequently with the
Guard which feeds into my love of travel and seeing/learning new things. Outgoing
and active, swimming, football and cycling are a few of my interests. I am an avid
