Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan in Science 7 A Lesson Plan For Grade 7 October 09, 2018 I. Objectives
I. Objectives:
1. Classify the animals according to their food (what will they eat in the environment)
2. Explain the characteristics of the types of Ecological Relationship
3. Evaluate the type of ecological relationship between two organisms/ plants
III. Procedure
a. Prayer
The teacher will call a student to lead the prayer.
b. Classroom Management
Checking the attendance
c. Review
The students will answer the graphic organizer.
Follow-up Questions:
What is Ecosystem?
Define the following:
1. Living Things
2. Nonliving Things
3. Interaction
What are the two components of the Ecosystem? Explain each
component.
d. Motivation
The teacher will show a model of the Ecosystem. The teacher will ask the
students to group the organisms found in the model according to the food they
eat or their source of food.
Guide Questions:
What are the animals/ plants found in each group? How do you classify
it?
e. Activity
Activity # 1 – Which Eats What?
The teacher will show 4 pictures that illustrates the interaction in the ecosystem. The
students will answer the activity sheets after.
f. Analysis
Process Questions:
Based on the given activity, how do other species (plants/animals) interact to
each other?
What is the relationship among the organisms in the pictures shown?
Are the pictures show a relationship in the ecosystem? Why?
g. Abstraction
The teacher will present and discuss the meaning of Ecological Relationship and its
types.
o Process Questions:
In the Philippine setting, how can you describe the ecosystem?
What are the problems that we experience in our ecosystem
nowadays?
Activity # 2 – Label the Pictures
After the teacher will present the 5 Types of ecological Relationships, the
students will identify each picture in what type does it belong. The students will
write their answer on the space provided below the picture.
h. Application
The class will be divided into five groups. Each group will be assigned 1 type of Ecological
Relationship. They will be going to answer the chart that indicates the participating
organisms in their assigned type (They will use the picture given in the previous activity as
their example). After which, they will be going to explain the characteristic/s of their
assigned type of Ecological Relationships. The groups will also present their output to the
class.
IV. Assessment
Directions: Evaluate the ecological relationship between the two given animals/ plants.
Identify on what type do they belong. Write your answer on the space provided before
each number.

________________6. Ferns and Hardwood trees
________________7. Acacia tree and ants
________________8. Lion ang Deer
________________9. Shark and small fish

V. Assignment
Using what you have learned about ecological interactions, think of an example of each interaction in
which humans are involved.

I. Objectives:
1.
III. Procedure
a. Prayer
The teacher will call a student to lead the prayer.
b. Classroom Management
Check the cleanliness of the classroom and observe proper seating arrangement.
Check the attendance of the students.
c. Review
Review about the Philippine Environment
The students will write their observation/ description of the Philippine Environment in
the chart posted in the board.
d. Motivation
Using the Globe, the teacher will let the students to identify the location of the
5 countries (Spain, Brazil, Pakistan, South Africa, and the Philippines). The
students are allowed to use their map for their reference. The first 5 students to
raise their hands will locate the following countries in the Globe. After, they will
place the Arrow in the respective location in each country.
Guide Questions:
How’s the activity for you? Is it easy or difficult in your part to locate the
countries?
What are the hindrances that you encountered during the activity?
What are the steps that you used in locating those places?
For us to locate the countries easily, we will use the Absolute and Relative Location Method.
e. Activity
Activity # 1 – Wordstorm
The students will form words out of the chunks or syllables placed in every petals of the
flower. With the help of the definitions in the table provided, the students will put
together the syllables to form these important words. The number of lines in the table
represents the number of syllables.
f. Analysis
Let the students give the definition of each term (Label the definition)
Process questions:
Based on the given activity, how do other species (plants/animals) interact to
each other?
What is the relationship among the organisms in the pictures shown?
Are the pictures show a relationship in the ecosystem? Why?
