Select advanced
Under “performance” select settings
Press “enter”
Select OK.
1.1.3 Adjust date / time
Select start
Select settings
Select control panel
Select OK
Exit control panel.
NOTE: System hibernate may be located on an alternate tab, determine and select “never” as
applicable and exit the control panel when finished.
1.1.5 Copy windows explorer shortcut to start menu
Select start
Select programs
Select accessories
Right click and hold “windows explorer” icon and drag it to the start menu above “programs”.
Release
Select “copy here”.
1.1.6 Set folder options
Select start
Select windows explorer
Select view
Select “details”
Select tools
Select folder options
Under the “general” tab:
Select “use windows classic folders”
Select “view” tab
Under “folder views”, select “apply to all folders”.
Under “advanced settings”
Check “do not cache thumbnails”
Uncheck “hide extensions for known file types”
Uncheck “show pop-up description for folder and desktop items”
Select OK
Exit windows explorer.
1.2 PenMount Touchscreen Calibration
Right click the “PM” icon in the lower right corner of the Task Bar
Select “control panel”
Under “device”, select (highlight) “PenMount 9000R”
Select configure
Under the “Device 0 (PenMount 9000 RS232)” screen “calibrate” tab:
Select next
Allow WinZip to search for “Favorite Zip Folders”
When search is complete and WinZip says it found folders to add to favorites, select “Next”.
Select next when “associations” is requested
Select close when installation completes.
From the ER3000 control panel, “window” tab, select “tuning”, “advanced” button.
Assure or enter the following values as shown:
Default ER “tune” variables:
Control Mode: External Feedback
Sensor Range (Minimum): 0.00
Sensor Range (Maximum): 30.00
Units: psi
Proportional Term: 5000
Integral Term: 500
Derivative Term: 200
Integral Minimum: -10
Integral Maximum: 64
Integral Deadband: 0.00
Ext FB Source: External Feedback
Minimum Pulse Width (Inlet): 12
Minimum Pulse Width (Exhaust): 22
Exit (tuning) screen.
From the “window” tab, select “failsafe”. Assure or enter the following min/max default
“failsafe” values:
Click Next.
The system configuration check screen will be displayed.
Press Next.
The Registration screen will be displayed.
Enter:
o Name: Sigma Elite
o Company: Perry Baromedical Corporation
o Select “Hide Advanced configuration Options”.
Press Next.
The feature Selection screen will be displayed.
Press Next.
The Authentication screen will be displayed.
Select “Mixed Mode”
Type in the SQL 2005 server password: (ROW 18) twice.
Press Next.
Under Configuration Options, uncheck all items.
Press Next.
Under Error and Usage Report settings, uncheck all items.
Click Next.
The Install screen will be displayed.
Press Install.
The Setup Progress screen will be displayed.
Press Finish.
1.8 Set SQL Server Browser to Run Automatically
Start the SQL Server Configuration Manager.
o Go to Start – All Programs – Microsoft SQL Server 2005 –n Configuration Tools and select
SQL Server Configuration Manager
o Click on SQL Server 2005 Services
o Right click on SQL Server Browser and select properties.
Under SQL Server Configuration Manager (local) / SQL Server 2005 Network Configuration /
Protocols for SQLExpress,
o Highlight and Right click on TCP/IP.
o Select Properties
Select “Create a new Port” and select “Standard TCP/IP Port” from the drop down menu.
Click Next.
If a message “A port with that name already exists” is displayed, go to “Port Already Exists” in
the Errors Section at the end of this document.
Choose the Make and Model of the printer. Example: Make = HP, Modal = HP Officejet 4500
G510g-m. If the printer is not listed, press Have Disk and select the printer directory on the
thumb drive. Click OK.
Click Next
Select “Yes” for the “Do you want to use this printer as the Default printer” option.
Click Next
If the Wizard needs a file, Browse to the Perry Installation Files\Network printer OJ4500G510g-
m (D) directory on the thumb drive and find the file.
Click OK
Click Finish.
From the command line, ping the Perry home office computer (10.0.0.3) to establish a
connection.
Download and install the database script files.
Disconnect from the home office computer and restart the system.
The touchscreen should start and the progress bar should run left to right without any errors.
Login using “a” / “a” for the default user name and password. If the system starts normally,
select “Logoff” to exit and shutdown the chamber.
1.16 Gage & Alarm Calibration (CVI variables & tolerance settings)
These settings are needed to set the variables and tolerance limits for the Tescom CVI controller
program and gauge settings. Normally these settings are entered using the CVI / Tescom “failsafe”
variables window listed in Section 1.4. They are listed here for reference.
Chamber Pressure -
Low limit = -1.0 psi (set to -3.33)
Over pressure limit = 31.5 psi (set to +105.00)
Set Pressure & Rate Set Regulator Transducer Limits -
Low threshold > 0 psi with no alarm (set to -3.33)
High threshold < 31 psi with no alarm (set to +103.33)
Treatment Pressure Feedback Signal Tolerance Limits -
Over / under limits = plus or minus ½ psi (set to -1.67 & +1.67)
