World without literature
Imagine a world without art, language and literature to express ourselves; where the civilizing
aspects of the human race cease to exist. The ability to convey one through creative means is a
powerful device. During our short existence on earth all our experiences are fragmented: dispersed
thoughts, hopes and dreams, making life isolating and bewildering. A creative outlet unifies all those
solitary sentiments, encapsulating the essence of what it means to be human.

The arts undoubtedly inspire the world. But not only that, literature preserves the ideals of our
cultures, whether it be in relation to love, friendship, freedom or faith it encapsulates human
existence. History Student said the interpretation of art is the understanding of culture throughout
history. Art makes us human, allowing expression and beauty to be conveyed”. Whilst art depicts
emotion visually, literature and language enables us to interpret the world we live in internally.
Through words we explore and engage with the human condition, learn and discover more about
ourselves than could be possible through other means. Our ideals and motives are questioned,
allowing us, prompting us even, to look at our own lives more analytically, and to grasp the bigger
picture. Through literature and art we are able to see more than what is immediately evident. Words
are pale shadows of forgotten names. As names have power, words have power. Words can light fires
in the minds of men. Words can wring tears from the hardest hearts. Art, literature, words, are
intrinsically linked. Art inspires literature, and vice versa. We see poets looking to the historical canon
of art work to inspire a new generation of literature. A great deal of artwork is also the influence of
prominent writers prose. Importantly art and literature inspire, whether it be directly or circuitously
future opinions and interpretations of the past and present. However, these reinterpretations are
prejudiced and revised to the new era in which they are written, therefore becoming a new
amendment to the records of human experience. Even in literature and art, no man who bothers about
originality will ever be original: whereas if you simply try to tell the truth you will, nine times out of ten,
become original without ever having noticed it. So whether you go visit an art gallery and pick up a pen
or go to the library and get out your sketch book, we are all endowed with the ability to challenge,
learn and comprehend new ideas. It’s impossible to overestimate the practical and influential
importance of literature and art. Literature is where I go to explore the highest and lowest places in
human society and in the human spirit, where I hope to find not absolute truth but the truth of the
tale, of the imagination and of the heart.
Significance of the literature
1. Literature Helps Expand Horizons:

An important aspect of literature lies in how it can help expand the horizons of its readers. It gives its
readers an inside look into how cultures from other parts of the world differ from their own, and how
customs from other countries help shape how their citizens view the world. By opening their minds to
what different cultures have to offer, readers of literature become more accepting of the unique
differences of people from around the world. It can also give them unique insights into their own past
or present cultures, and can help them make a stronger connection to others in their own cultures.

2. Literature Gives a Look into the Past, Present and Future:

Literature provides a window into the past, allowing readers to see how their ancestors and others
dealt with day-to-day life. Readers can see where their own people came from, and how the country
they live in became what it is today. Literature can also let its readers look back at the mistakes made
by their predecessors, and hopefully avoid those same mistakes.

Modern literature gives readers a view into present-day politics, and sometimes gives us an important
view into the lives of the people around us. Fictional literature can also give its readers special insight
into the minds of writers to see how they envision the future might turn out, including both the good
and the bad.

3. Literature Gives a View into the Human Condition:

Literature also helps readers to understand the human condition, and what makes them who they are,
whether talking about love, war or other important themes throughout life. What better way to learn
about desire than through the pages of a book? While reading, readers are transported into their own
world with their own thoughts, where they can develop their own ideas on basic human emotions, free
of embarrassment and without the interference of others.

4. Literature Helps Build Critical Thinking Skills:

Literature helps build crucial, critical thinking skills. Readers can learn more about symbolism within
the pages of a book, and it helps them develop the ability to find the hidden meanings within everyday
life. Furthermore, they can make connections between the characters and the themes of a book, and
how that could apply to real life.
World with literature
When we think of globalization and forms of entertainment, we immediately think of the Internet,
social media, movies, or television shows. But, contrary to popular belief, literature also holds an
important place in the flow of entertainment media that is coursing through the veins of public
consumption in our globalized world. The technological advances that are connecting people
worldwide through shared information are also serving as a medium to disseminate books across
national and cultural boundaries.

World literature is not a new concept, but as new media technologies explode, so do new ways of
disseminating books across national boundaries. And as new ways emerge of delivering world
literature to readers worldwide, many scholars are examining the implications of translations on
literature, the impact that literature has on culture, and the ways that cultures can transform books.
World literature can be an amazing tool for analyzing globalization because it provides a wonderful
example of the ways that information is shared across languages and cultures.

The study of world literature is a powerful tool for global studies because it encompasses so many
themes that are important to understanding globalization. World literature can show us how
information is shared between cultures and nations. It provides insight into how cultural artifacts are
transformed as they traverse languages and boundaries. It also can help us to understand the ways
that new media technologies could be facilitating globalization by creating a public space for the
transmission of literature and other information across the globe.

Conclusion
World without literature means living without treasured reminiscences, Literature arouses in us
emotions about things we do not experience in reality, but are only able to perceive through the aid of
literature.
