PROJECTS SITE ENGINEERS – Soneva, Maldives

For our ongoing program of Projects at our iconic resorts in the Maldives, we are currently recruiting Site
Engineers to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• To manage packages of work, parts of or full construction projects, providing technical advice and solving
problems on site, supervising staff on site and ensuring completion on time, within budget and with the
required standards of quality.
• Setting out sites and checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly.
• Liaising with the employer, subcontractors and other professional staff, especially Quantity Surveyors
(about the ordering and the pricing of materials) and the overall Project Manager.
• Preparing site reports and filling in other paperwork.
• Ensuring that health and safety, sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to.
• Peacefully and effectively resolve any emerging problems and issues.
• Allocate and delegate responsibilities and tasks.
• Supervise, train and give performance feedback to workers.
• Thorough planning, attention to detail and precision is essential.
• Solid experience in construction, outstanding leadership personality and ability to make decisions in
complex situations.

About you:

• Preferably graduates with an accredited degree in engineering (civil, structural, geotechnical, mechanical,
electrical or building services).
• 5-10 years of overall experience, specifically in concrete and timber structures.
• Fluent in English.
• Skilled in Autocad / Office suite.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong working relationships with people at all levels.
• Resilient and able to deal with challenge.
