About Me

Hi, I know my life may look cool from social media but to be
honest in real life I am pretty socially awkward and shy.
Suffering from severe social anxiety from a young age forced
me into thinking of ways to make money without having to
leave the house. I guess this is what led me into
entrepreneurship & eCommerce.
I love to give back

My biggest passion is holding workshops all over the world


teaching eCommerce & Instagram Growth Techniques. I love
it because I am teaching people proven strategies which
have helped me throughout the years.

there, and many of them are really good. In fact, they
are amazing but my favorite would have to be Shopify.
Over the years I have used them with all of my online
businesses with complete satisfaction.

Well simply because it is very easy to use and has lots of amazing
powerful features. Just to name a few:

you purchase a cool theme and then use Shopify's Drag & Drop

Because the last thing you want to have to deal with is having
dead stock which you can’t move! Not to mention the wasted
money and time that would have gone along with a failed project.
The best way to take out the guesswork, is to use a more
methodological approach. Following a set of guidelines or rules
while deciding what products to sell online will definitely help.

You can have a professional website, targeted traffic, famous


influencers promoting your brand, but if your product sucks…
No money, no honey!

Important factors to consider:


1. Sell the solution, not the product!
With this option you’re simply selling a product which solves
a problem the customer may be facing.

This great quote from Theodore Levitt sums it up perfectly:


“People don’t want to buy a quarter-inch drill, they want
to buy a quarter-inch hole!”
2. Sell to the passionate!
It’s amazing how much money passionate shoppers will
spend on what they love! PC Gamers will drop hundreds of
dollars on the latest Gaming Chairs for that extra
comfort. Shoe lovers will spend crazy amounts of money on
the latest Yeezy Boost 350 V2 shoes.
What makes a good product to sell online?

Good products are:


 Visually powerful: A product that will stand out and create buzz
(Charcoal masks, Coffee Scrubs, Charcoal toothpaste)
 Within the $30 - $150 range: Products sold at this price range
will most likely have healthy profit margins and the potential for
a high average order value.
 Easy to ship: Ideally you'd want to sell something that is small
and easy to ship.
 Quality product: If you make something amazing and high
quality, not only will your customers be satisfied but they will
stick around and turn into loyal customers.
 Large target market: This is important because we need to
focus on the POTENTIAL! Naturally, a larger target market will
also increase your revenue and cash flow potential.
 Something unique that is not available locally: You wouldn’t
want to sell something they can easily buy at Walmart or Target.

Influencers are people who are well-respected in a given


industry and are seen as an expert in that field.

When an influencer recommends a product or service on their


social media profiles, it can come across as an authentic
recommendation like as if it was from a friend. This is why
influencer marketing can be so effective!
My Tips
 Micro-Influencers: I only target the ‘Micro Influencers’ whose
accounts are between 10k - 80k followers
 Numbers game: When using this strategy to promote your
products always use MANY smaller influencer’s vs. 1 large one.
 Ego Driven: The larger influencers are usually harder to work with
and overpriced. They will quote you a price based off of their ego
and not their actual worth.

 Branch out: Don’t stick to Instagram influencers only! There are a


lot of YouTube influencers out there who have amazing channels
with powerful reach.
 Striking Images: When you get the influencers to promote your
product you want to make sure that the content is visually striking
and will capture attention. Below is an example of how I get my
influencers to promote my products for Simplyshredded.
Tip #4 Collecting

How to collect emails?
Simple. In exchange for a customer’s email you can:

 Host competitions/giveaways to increase email sign ups


 Offer discount codes
 Offer ‘knowledge products’ like free ‘How To Guides/eBooks’
and or tips and tricks in specific niches.

What is the best app to collect emails?


Mailchimp is my first choice as it allows you to:
 Use beautiful pre-built email templates for your newsletters
 Win back lost sales with the abandoned cart automatic email

 Segment your audience and send super-targeted,
personalized email campaigns
 Easy to use Reports system to analyze your email campaign

Unless you have been living under a rock, you would have
noticed that nearly everyone is glued to their smartphones.

Having a well-designed mobile site will help you build credibility


with your customers and will help you be seen as modern and
relevant.

3 seconds to load and 35 percent will abandon a purchase
transaction if the shopping cart isn’t optimized for mobile devices.
These are statistics we must not ignore! Especially considering
that 68% of e commerce traffic is from Mobile Devices!

 Make your site responsive and easy to navigate
 Make sure your store loads fast
 Make sure it’s easier to search for things on your store
 Simplify the checkout process
 Making your store visually stunning too with awesome product
photos and easy to read product descriptions and pages

customer puts items into their cart, but
leaves the site without completing their
purchase. In other words, it is the arch
enemy of any ecommerce store owner in
their battle to make sales!
What are some reasons a customer would
abandon their purchase?

 Distractions
 Concerns for potential payment security
 Store doesn't accept the customers preferred payment method
 Customer could have found a cheaper price elsewhere

Below are some great ways to reduce the


chances of a shopper abandoning their cart:

 Make sure your store is user-friendly with a simple navigation


and checkout process
 Make sure you accept all types of payments especially PayPal
and credit card
 Provide guest checkout option
 Offer price match guarantee
 Send shopping cart abandonment e-mails with a coupon code
to win them back
 Offer Free shipping! This one is my favorite and probably the
most effective weapon in your arsenal at reducing lost sales.

Online shoppers are 4 - 5 times more likely to buy from a site
offering free shipping.
Tip #7 Offer exceptional
customer support

Ecommerce is not only about cool branding and selling quality


products but if you can add excellent customer support
services on top of this then you will be sure to have a killer
store.

How to offer great customer service?

1. Respond as quickly as possible to emails/questions (0-12


hours ideal)
2. Make sure the customer support team is trained well
3. Go the extra mile to make the customer happy and answer all
of their questions
4. If at fault be willing to apologize and compensate for errors
5. Ask for feedback and use it to improve your operations

In that way, you’ll be more proactive in communicating with your
audience. Start building a database from day one and email your

much as their first purchase
 The chances of selling to new customers is 5-20% which is very
low compared to selling to existing customers which is 60-70%

I highly recommend you try to get your loyal customers to leave a
review on your store. Positive reviews by satisfied customers can
help you gain the trust of your potential customers.

According to Invesp, 90 percent of customers prefer


reading online reviews before visiting a business or
using its services and 88 percent said they trust
online reviews like a personal recommendation.

It is the number of sales divided by the total
number of visitors. For example, if your
store receives 500 visitors in a month and
has 50 sales, the conversion rate would be
50 divided by 500, 10%.
Why is it important?
Well simply because improving your conversion rate also allows
you to get more sales with the same amount of traffic. Which
means you will be getting more bang for your buck when you start
paying for advertising to drive visitors to your store.
