Method -01

Enable the mirror feature on your client workstation

1. On the client workstation where you want to create a mirror server, open ESET Endpoint
Security, ESET Endpoint Antivirus, or ESET File Security for Microsoft Windows Server.

2. Press F5 on your keyboard to access advanced setup.

3. Click Update and expand Mirror.

4. Enable Create update mirror. We recommend that you define a Username and Password for
clients to access the update mirror. Click OK when you are finished.

5. Note the IP address or fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the client computer where you
created the update mirror. You will use this information to configure policy settings so that
other clients will download updates from this mirror. Proceed to part II when you have this
information.

To check your mirror server working open web browser

Method -02
How do I set up a mirror server using Apache HTTP Proxy?
Use Apache HTTP Proxy to distribute virus signature database and program module updates to client
workstations and reduce Internet traffic generated by your network.

On the server where you want to install Apache HTTP Proxy, click the link below to download the
Apache HTTP Proxy installer file:

2. Use a tool such as WinZip or 7Zip to extract the .zip file that you downloaded.

3. Copy Apache HTTP Proxy to the directory C:\Program Files\Apache HTTP Proxy.

5. Right click to install.bat file & run as administrator

6. Allow Access to private network

7. Open Antivirus application on server & enable the Mirror Option but don’t select HTTP Server
Option & provide Apache HTTP Proxy htdocs path.

8. To check your Apache HTTP Proxy Mirror is working file open the below address on web browser

Client Settings
1) Open ESET Endpoint
2) Security, ESET Endpoint Antivirus, or ESET File Security for Microsoft Windows Server.
3) Press F5 on your keyboard to access advanced setup.
4) Click Update and expand Basic.
5) Disable Choose automatically.
6) Enter Update Server Address i.e. “http://IP_Address:2221”
7) Click OK when you are finished.

To check your Apache HTTP Proxy Mirror is working file open the below address on web
browser

http://localhost:2221/update.ver or from remote computer

or

http://IP_Address_Server:2221/update.ver
