Bapu'S Day: 150 Birthday Celebration

ABSTRACT:
The event “Bapu’s Day” was conducted to celebrate
MAHATMA GANDHI’s 150th birthday. The event had its
ultimate aim to commemorate Bapuji and his contribution
towards Indian Independence.

ABOUT BAPU’S DAY:
In this event ,several rounds were conducted.

ESSAY WRITING AND ONE MINUTE SPEECH:


‘Essay Writing’ was conducted to enhance the writing
skills of the students and to know their views about Gandhiji.
Next, a short video about Gandhi was projected.
‘One Minute Speech’ aimed at bringing out the ability to
speak in front of people and to show his/her speaking skills.
Further, the students presented on Gandhian values and its
role nowadays.

WORD TREASURE AND EMOJI CONNECT:


In ‘Word Treasure’ event, the students were asked to
tell the words related to the picture displayed. It was
conducted to increase their memory power. The students
participated actively in it.
Finally, in ‘Emoji Connect’ event, they had to connect
the emoji’s displayed. It was conducted to activate their
ability to think differently.

NUMBER OF GIRLS PARTICIPANTS : 27
TOTAL PARTICIPANTS : 43

HALLMARKS OF THE DAY:


The event conducted by the club was successful in its
main concept of remembering Mahatma Gandhi and his
principles. Over all the event helped the students to enhance
their skills which will be useful in their future.
