Vaccinating Our Children May Have A Risk in Their Health
Have you ever been vaccinated? Do you think it is a safe treatment? Vaccination is
one of the greatest health developments of the 20th century. A vaccine is a
biological preparation that provides inmunity to a particular disease like rubella,
diphteria, small pox, whooping cough, and polio, which make muscle weakness
resulting in an inhability to move. When you get an immunization, you are injected
with a weakened form of a disease. However, some vaccination opponents say
that vaccines can cause side effects like paralysis, autism, diabetes, and even
death. Indeed, several studies have said that these adverse reactions are
extremey rare, and not vaccinating our children can be very dangerous and this
can also affect future generations. In this way, vaccination is really important
nowadays.
To start, vaccinating our children may have a risk in their health. In first place,
opponents say that children’s inmune system can deal with most infections
naturally {1}. Even pro-vaccine organizations state that natural vaccination causes
better immunity than vaccinating our chidren against a specific disease
(ProCon.org,2019). In second place, vaccines may cause side effects {2}. The
National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) says that vaccines may be linked to
learning disabilities, asthma, autism, diabetes, chronic inflammation, and other
disabilities (ProCon.org,2019). In third place, vaccines are unnatural, and natural
immunity is more effective than vaccination. A vaccine violates all laws of natural
immune defenses by taking a potential pathogen along with toxic ingredients like
aluminum, formaldehyde, adjuvants, directly into your blood system
(ProCon.ore,2019) . All in all, vaccines are an artificial thing, and it is a fact that it
may have different risks in our health.
To start, vaccination has a lot of benefits for health. In first place, illnesses like
rubella, doptheria, small pox, polio and whooping cough are now prevented by
vaccination {3}. This is due to the fact that vaccines cost less time and money
instead of getting a dangerous disease that can be bad for our health . In second
place, major medical organizations state that vaccines are safe {4}.These
organizations include: CDC, Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Institute of
Medicine (IOM), American Medical Association (AMA), American Academy of
Pediatrics (AAP), UNICEF, US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS),
World Health Organization (WHO); they affirm that "vaccines are some of the
safest medical products available" (ProCon.ore,2019) . In the third place, millions
of children’s lives are safe due to vaccines {5}. The American Academy of
Pediatrics states that "most childhood vaccines are 90%-99% effective in
preventing diseases, as well, vaccinated mothers protect their unborn children from
viruses that could potentially cause birth defects. To sum up, vaccination has been
shown to be an efective way to avoid different diseases nowadays.
To begin, vaccination is a very effective cure. Firstly, if you decide not to inmunize
your children, you are putting not only them, but also those in contact with your
child at risk of catching a dangerous disease {6}. Immunizations protect us from
serious diseases and also prevent the spread of those diseases to others, polio
and smallpox. Secondly, vaccines are safe; every vaccine is tested to ensure
quality before it reaches the public {7}. Every licensed and recommended vaccine
goes through years of safety testing including, Testing and evaluation of the
vaccine before it’s licensed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is also
recommended to be used by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
(CDC) and monitoring the vaccine’s safety after it is recommended for infants,
children, or adults. Thirdly, adverse reactions are extremely rare {8}. As with any
medication, they can have side effects. In most cases these are usually mild. Most
common minor reactions to an immunization are soreness or redness around the
injection site and low-grade fever. To sum up, vaccination is an effective way to
avoid getting a dangerous disease and everyone needs to be vaccinated.
